Even if Nyquist was out, which he isn't, slotting Gambrell in doesn't mean that their offensive depth is basically gone. That's just nonsense. Nyquist is way down the list of being a part of the offensive depth list. That list starts with Burns and Karlsson as they're the catalyst for the team's offense and whom they built the system around. And among forwards, Nyquist is still pretty far down that list behind guys like Hertl, Meier, Pavelski, Couture, Kane, Thornton, and Labanc. They would be fine slotting Gambrell in for Nyquist if that became necessary. They certainly wouldn't lose their offensive depth based on his absence. That's just absurd.

I agree it's a huge difference but that loss doesn't mean the Sharks go from having their greatest strength being their offensive depth to now being non-existent.

I didn't care about Haley in the regular season. I care about Haley in the playoffs though. Any puck near him is essentially a loss of possession. He had 1 (maybe 2?) good shifts last game. Does he even PK? Why can't Shovels play :/

Seriously. I almost threw up during his postgame presser. Basically, he didn’t do anything detrimental so he had a great game, was a valuable contributor, and an irreplaceable 4:30 worth of ice time.
