It's a symptom of the bigger issue - the NHL over regulating and creating too many soft, subjective types of penalty calls.

I'm just saying I think it was more warranted at the time. It's largely vestigial now and honestly considering how bad most goalies are at handling the puck it probably ultimately prevents more goals from happening.
