So ... the trapezoid. Help me understand why it's needed. A big problem with the officiating today is the NHL overcomplicating its rule book with mindless stuff like this and so many soft, subjective call types of penalties.

I've heard this a lot, but I think a goalie like Skinner relies on playing the puck to get a feel for it early on. I also think a lot of the Oilers defence relies on an aggressive goalie willing to play the puck.
He just has 20% of the time where I feel he misjudges the play. But he is a rookie goalie.

Only 3 times in these first 10 games have the Oilers had more PP's than their opponent.

Scumfaces that say the Oilers get preferential treatment on penalty calls can suck a cancerous elephant dick.

Players are fast enough now that you probably don't need the rule. Goalies aren't gonna go into the corners these days.

It was made because of Brodeur. And only after he got all his cups lol

Personally I liked how you could have these aggressive passing roaming goalies

Goalies used to get the puck and skate around with it and then got in trouble and hurt etc. At least if I remember. It has been years. lol
