The Kings spend too much time dicking around with the puck, which helps the Blues fore check out. When the Kings sit back and pass to each other back and forth from side-to-side or struggle to get the puck out from one of their wingers, they're going to get caught and it's going to result in turnovers. They have to be smarter and react quickly. The top line really struggled with those plays in the 1st.
The passing back and forth is fine if the forwards circle back and allow the whole team to attack with speed as a five-man unit. When the defenders did that to establish possession in the last period, the forwards all went and stood around in the neutral zone. It's not surprising a Blues team that pressures a lot up the ice would pick off those passes.

The forwards need to come back toward the defense for those passes. Stretch passes don't work often against St. Louis.

This game is going to end 2-1. Just hope the Kings get to 2 before the Blues get to 1

3 Kings over skated that puck in the neutral zone in an attempt to create an odd man rush. None got the puck and nobody could change due to it.
