Why the hell did I see king with kopi last game, and tonight he gets the 2nd line spot? Sigh. Come on DS put him on the 4th line where he belongs. Any one on the roster is better for that 2nd line than king.

King was one of the few forwards that could actually move the puck....

Your guys blind hatred fro the Kid in his second year of playing is blinding you.

You think Sutter does this at random ? it's for a reason. A-Mart is not playing for a reason.

Muzzin/Ellerby is in for a reason, the lines are the way they are for a reason...

You can disagree with that reason....

Also thank god Fraser is back in, the fourth line has sucked since he got taken off it.

Blues threw everything they had at us and won because Quick screwed up. If the Kings pull their head out of their ass, they will handle this.

I'm hoping someone can correct me on this, but it appears we are effed in the eh if the Ottawa game goes to overtime. Apparently, those outside of the ANA/DET markets missed the first period of Game 1 since NBC Sports was showing the CHI game and did not offer a secondary channel.

Looking at NBC Sports Facebook page, someone commented under their pimping of the first night's action that they missed the first period of the Detroit game, to which NBC Sports replied to the effect of "If the first game goes to overtime, you can watch the next game live via streaming from our website".

Glorious. I want to go out to a bar on 2nd tonight to watch the game but that can't happen if the first one goes to overtime.

I have absolutely no effing idea how or why the league would allow a contract like this that takes out the local telecasts during Round 1, unless this is FSW dropping the ball once again and showing something else, like say Game 25 of the 1,000 games the Angels or Dodgers will play this year.

I'm not sure we watched the same game. If by moving the puck you mean dumping it in then maybe.

Just because ds has a hard on for him doesn't make it right. He did not do a damn thing yet again last game. He's a 4th line player getting way too much ice time period.

Penner was great last night. No reason not to put him back with Richards and carter.

Amart looked like crap when he tried to play through hip injury. It's not the same when talking about king cause he has sucked all season with no injuries.

Exactly. If someone scored in OT, it would have been "Quick won that game for us!"

But it just as easily can go the other way (as we saw). Once the Kings remembered that this is playoff hockey, they fared really well in overtime. Slap in the face was just what they needed. Tonight should be much different (I would hope).

Looks like Ellerby is playing tonight. Not sure whether to laugh or cry, but it should make for another interesting game. It seemed like every time he was on the ice he made a mistake or a bad play... it was almost amazing to watch.

Everything I have to say about that are four letter asterisked words.

No Bob and Jim tonight makes me sad, but Dave Strader is terrific. Engblom... not so much, but I'll live.

FSN has a postgame show only. The entire US (LA included) will have the game on CNBC. If the first game (OTT/MON) runs long, they will switch to the Kings game in the LA and St. Louis markets only. If you are elsewhere, you're stuck having to wait for OTT/MON to conclude before they'll switch over to the Kings game.

These forum boards are here for a reason, to all give our own opinions.

As to player selections, I have to go with the coach. He sees these guys every minute of every day, sees them in practice sessions, sees how much they pay attention to film and to him during team meetings.

We don't see those things. I am good with the coach on his choices...remember, this guy was the difference between a Stanley Cup championship and not even getting into the playoffs last season.

The biggest problem is that it is not just going long. They have not really allowed enough time for the first game to be completed. And with NBCSN they are making the games avail on their website but not the CNBC games. Which is just dumb. Thank you for Hockey Streams and getting CBC feeds.

Last season was indeed probably the last season we will get Bob and Jim for the playoffs.

FSN had the rights to the first playoff series only last year. This season, the NHL decided to nationally broadcast every single playoff game, and given the league's popularity this season, its a good business decision.

Comcast SportsNet has a working relationship with NBC Sports;* therefore, they share announcers, such as the Sharks announcers. Bob and Jim are with FSN and there is no relationship there, so they will never be utilized to do playoff games.

I'm not insulting ds I fully understand what he means to the team. However I would just like to know his reasoning. Let's be honest, you could put any else on that line and its an upgrade. King has been terrible all year long. I will be the first to jump for joy if Kong manages to do something, but to put him I'm the top 6 is going to hurt.
