The only surprising thing is that McNabb didn't score in the 1st period when the Kings had all the chances.

Seems like it'll be hold on in the 3rd, try not to give up another goal, and then the familiar all out effort in the last couple minutes.

Hope they get ice cream cones after the game and shove up their ass.
...and I hope the marshmallows and nuts get stuck!!!

They’ll blame it on injuries. You know they will.

“We’re a 100 pt team with Carter all season.”

“Forbort and Muzzin injuries really hurt us in the first round.”

The sad thing is that this upcoming year is without a doubt the year to make some significant trades. Guarantee some poor GM would give up a haul for Kopitar after his Hart worthy regular season. Brown could probably be moved with zero retention, too.

I'm guessing no. Not many teams can take on Kopitar's cap hit, let alone for a haul. Like young guys? The cheap ones that teams will need to fill around Kopitar? Same with Brown. No reason to think teams would do that based off of one season. Maybe if Brown did it 2 years in a row, and then gets that much older, and less likely to do it a third time.

The Kings are most likely stuck with those guys, no matter what else they do. It's easier not to fantasize about it.

You can't blame Luc for firing Lombardi. If you want to blame him for having his buddy replace Lombardi that is certainly valid but Dean had to go, he had completely lost his mind and his moves were starting to significantly hurt the team in the present and for the future.

This. The cap makes moving on from high priced players impossible.
