That would be nice. Oddly enough, I'm calm now. Whatever happens, happens.

I've had the same mentality entering these playoffs. Sure I had hopes that they'd perform better, but I wasn't exactly feeling it this year with the blueline the way it was and how this team was performing over the last couple of months.

Was hoping for the best but expecting the worst, so my expectations were tempered this year. A win would be nice, but a loss isn't going to get me upset. Hell, given the way most have responded to the losses, seems like most of us aren't really all that surprised or bent out of shape.

Seems like Ducks fans are taking their losses a bit harder. Maybe it's because they bought into the hype that their team should be a Cup contender like the media was predicting during the start of the season.

I'm at peace with being swept if that's what's destined to happen. Also, seeing the Ducks and their fans losing their minds has been quite enjoyable and made our own ineptitude less vexing.

Or their Cup was 9 years ago, and they've had those 3 Game 7 losses at home in the last 3 years. We're still riding kinda high. If the Kings should go out early this year, coupled with last year, and should it be another year or two of trying to rebuild the roster while some guys just get another year or two older, with no guarantee it will be like it was before, time will start to add up for us too.

Y'know, I was thinking about how many great teams throughout the 90s and 2000s failed to win more than a few cups, examples being the Penguins who won back-to-back in '91 and '92, and the Avs who won two Cups in a span of 5 years in '96 and '01 and that was it for both teams, and they were both really stacked with an insane amount of talent.

For all we know, this may be it for the Kings for a who knows how long. The Red Wings won back-to-back Cups in '97 and '98, won their 3rd in '02 and then a fourth Cup in '08 and haven't come close since losing in the Cup Final in '09. That's a pretty lengthy stretch of success, and I think most of us would be pleased if the Kings could match that over a long period of time.

More likely that this is it than it isn't.

It's tough to get back up the mountain once you slip a bit. It's tough to get the right mix again at the right time. Montreal hasn't had it as good since the late 70's. Philly in the mid 70's. Islanders, Oilers, Penguins, Devils, Stars, Avs, Wings. The Kings and Hawks will come down eventually. That's why I was fine with the Sekera and Lucic deals, no matter how they end up. You have to take the chance when you have it, because there's plenty of time to not have that real chance again.

Okay, I would like the Kings to win the next 4 (by this Saturday). That way, I will be feeling good when Game of Thrones premieres on Sunday...

Please win...thanks

Lose this and lose the series honestly. Less Shore and Less Scuderi, more Andreoff and more Gravel please.
Top players need to wake up.
And someone needs to freaking nail Pavelski

Would be a step in the right direction if they figured out how to stop Pavelski, but then again, that's asking for a lot from a blueline that includes McNabb, Schenn and Scuderi.

And this just hurts us so bad. Without him there is a giant hole in our D.

Strongly disagree. Sure, it would be better to have Martinez in the lineup, but the D isn't the problem. The problem is that our top players haven't played up to expectations.

If we don't have the depth to make up for a 3-4 defenseman, then we don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

Martinez being out and icing pylons like Schenn and Scuderi are a large part of the problem as well. The breakout out of our zone has been glacially slow

It's not even stopping Pavelski, it's that nobody is matching him. Or even all that close. Kopitar has 2 assists in the same 7 games. Doughty has 3 points to the 10 that Burns has. It's not all about the points, but Lecavalier leads the team in goals against the Sharks this season with 4, he's only played in 4 of the 7 games, and he's like 50.

definitely concerning. Pavelski & co are playing some motivated hockey

Before Gaborik got injured, he was playing great with Lecavalier & Lewis. I think those two are prefect that Lecavalier because of how slow he is. And put Toffoli and Lucic on the same line with either Carter or Kopitar & Then Line up Brown & Pearson 2nd center. And Please play AA & Clifford W/ Versteeg

In the 7 games this season:

Pavelski, Burns, Thornton - combined for 15G, 18A, 33Pts.

Carter, Toffoli, Lecavalier, Lucic, Muzzin, Doughty, Martinez, Brown, Pearson, Lewis, Kopitar, Gaborik - combined for 16G, 23A, 39Pts.

Take the Kings top 3 scorers, Carter, Toffoli, and Lecavalier, and they've combined for 10G, 5A, and 15Pts.

Burns has 5G, 5A, and 10Pts. Doughty, Muzzin, and Martinez have 2G, 7A, 9Pts.

At least the Kings have won a couple games in SJ, so there's some hope. They've had few answers this year though.

At this point I say screw it. Blow this game.. beat the **** out the Sharks and go for the reverse sweep again. Chances aren't much worse for that then winning the series anyways.

What's more worrying is that with Kopitar/Doughty/Quick if the team isn't going to be good enough to go for the cup they'll sink into mediocrity. Not good enough to do anything, not bad enough to get better.

Lucic-Kopitar-Versteeg
Pearson-Carter-Toffoli
Lewis-Lecavalier-Gaborik
Clifford-AA-Brown

Looks pretty good to me!

Not invested at all really in these playoff's.

For some reason, I am just not feeling it this year.

If the Kings lose, really don't care. If they get another Cup (it won't match 2014/2012).

Just not feeling it.
