I said it before that if the guy can't play f*** off with this "will he or won't he" BS.

This isn't the Gabe Landeskog show. I love the guy, but if you can't play right now f***ing tell the media so we can stop this and just announce you are coming back next season training camp.

If he wasn't ready tonight why in the f*** would he be ready two days from now?
I'm starting to fear it's a "get 1 game in before retirement" kind of deal for him.

EJ was horrible, but Blackwood also played that like he's not allowed to leave the blue paint. Dude just sat there and acted like a training dummy. Not blaming him for the loss, but no idea what he was thinking there.
Oh yeah, I have been vocal that Blackwood's inability to play pucks hurts this team a lot. A strong push forward and a poke check would have been better than sitting there.

He looks like he's never practiced playing pucks as a goalie. He doesn't even stop them behind the net. Even Grubauer used to do that.

He absolutely should be fired after we inevitably lose this series. There is no f***ing chance in hell they win this series. Simply not a a good enough coach and a shit show of a team.
My God, every time I feel like I’m being too cynical after a loss, I just gotta read one of your posts and say “Nahhhhhhh.”

There's only so much tinkering a GM can do while spending assets to improve the team. If you stick with Bednar, it's to rebuild. Not re-tool.

Yeah they pretty much were playing a solid game until the 3rd.

I'm not sure OT is being all that fair to the Avs in the expected goals category. I thought the Avs were the better team for sure and while Dallas probably had the two best chances, the Avs had some real good looks themselves as well.

Definitely a lot of overreacting here though, which is pretty normal after a loss. Ultimately they're 1-1 going back home and have played 4.5/6 good periods so far.

We knew this series wouldn't be easy. The Stars are a 106 point team as well. Everyone should have known this was going to go 6 or 7 games and like DeBoer said today this game was basically for their season.

Now it shifts back to the Avs to up that intensity again on home ice, grab the 2-1 series lead and then work to get a stranglehold on the series heading back to Dallas.
It's not that they lost, it's the BS that led to the loss. That is frustrating.

Dallas is good, but we gave them that game.

92 should have played. Bednar f***ed that up.

EJ shouldn't have played, 70 should have.

Our coach makes the right decisions we win, that's what's frustrating.

Lol they'll skate him around in warmups again then play Vesey. If he can play he would, but he can't or they'd done it tonight. It's a f***ing Disney movie at this point.
Chetster.. you ticked it here. Disney movie. 100% it is. This doesn't require analysis...

Fantab storyline that Landy plays after 100 million days. And matters even slightly.

Versus anyone think he can skate in a PO game? 3 periods? Even managed time? Rub a lamp.

I want Disney endings. This isn't one. Chetster is correct.

Does anyone seriously believe that Landeskog's skating is comensurate with the speed and intensity of Stanley Cup OT?

Based on the video frames I saw of his last practice with the team, I sure as hell do not.
Rewatching that overtime goal is actually hilarious. Erik Johnson truly cannot move out there. He might have the worst lateral mobility of any defensemen in the league
Too long in the tooth and over the hill. He's been with2 terrible teams for 2 seasons now (Buffalo and Philly) and hasn't been able to perform.

His return here is as bad (and stupid) a move as the Forsberg and Foote media circuses of seasons past.

I don't think they ever wanted to bring Landeskog back in a hostile environment. Ease him in on your turf.

Come on peeps. We took home ice back, with the series 1-1, and we have our captain coming back. What's with the defeatist mindset?
We've been through this shit before. Bednar does nothing to instill us with confidence. Our 2C is a problem yet again, and we can't finish our chances.

Wood had to jump over EJ which created the opening. WTF was EJ trying to do there? He goes down way too late to stop the shot.

Wood shouldn't take the blame for this shit.

Warms the heart to see EJ come back to help the team, after costing the Kadri ~ 3 years ago..

It's not a Disney movie. It's an HBO limited series.

I'm confused about the bitching that Bednar didn't adjust tonight. They played bad in the 3rd, then were clearly the better team in OT, so apparently they changed something up.

Bad plays by EJ and Wood killed the game, not Bednar "not adjusting". Plus yeah it sucks we lost, but was anyone realistically expecting a sweep here? Its one game, not getting close to elimination.
I don’t like that Bednar keeps putting together a second line he KNOWS doesn’t work and expects them to, what, figure it out? Well, they’re not. He knows what combos worked in the regular season and which ones didn’t.

They obviously let this one get away. We will see how they show up with the captain on the ice in game 3. If they let THAT opportunity slide, then I’ll be grabbing a chair to sit next to Chet.
