It could still be this year, but they're gonna need a goalie change immediately and they're gonna need to hope Pickard can give them something. He's a 32 year old mostly career minor league goalie, who hasn't spent an entire season in the NHL in a long time. But sometimes these randos get hot.

And he doesn't even need to be THAT hot. He just needs to be a bit better than Skinner.

Overall. I'm not sure he's actually worse than Bob. Remember, Bob isn't an elite goalie anymore. He's a legacy goalie. He just had his best season in Florida, he's been up and down since he got there. Bad year, bad year, good year, bad year, great playoffs, good year, mediocre playoffs.

Skinner isn't a bad goalie in his career, but his playoffs have been a DISASTER BOTH years.

So for that? Yeah, I'll go with Bob is better. The way Skinner sinks teams in the playoffs really should cost him points.

Even though he hasn't been a bad regular season goalie, he's just not good enough in now 26 playoff games over two years.

Fair assessment, I don't necesarily agree about Bobs not being elite anymore, but we can have our different viewpoints. I think he slumped for a bit, especially once the massive contract came into play, but he got the kick in the butt he needed and he is playing at the level we saw in Columbus near the end.

Dallas vs. Florida in the Finals would get worse ratings than a WNBA game.

It doesn't matter who is in the finals the NHL will always have shitty TV ratings in the US relatively speaking compared to the other sports.
