Definitely lucky though Skinner also lacks awareness. It’s the kinda deflection shot you should stopThat second goal was a fluke. Just bad luck.
The southern states are not hockey states. Obvious anti Canadian bias is obvious!
Yes he's clearly the reason why their bottom 6 goalies and bottom 4 are not even tryingMcDavid is only good off the rush. Totally overrated
McDavid vs. New York would be as good as the league can hope for.You think Edmonton is a big TV draw in the U.S.?
They're also the better team.
If he took slightly less money, they’d have better players in those rolesYes he's clearly the reason why their bottom 6 goalies and bottom 4 are not even trying
They're definitely done with Skinner if they lose this series.I will say this, if the Oilers lose this series, I have no idea what they’re gonna do.
The way it’s built, man it’s so awful, reminds me of how the leafs are built
Is Edmonton the Toronto of the MT Daylight Time Zone?
Yes he's clearly the reason why their bottom 6 goalies and bottom 4 are not even trying
That stat actually works in his favors. This is a good example why sometimes plus minus does not tell the story.
Nurse did nothing wrong with the first two goals
40% save percentage woo!Skinner saved 2 of his last 5 shots
They are too busy committing to pinching at poor times in the offensive zone.Oilers are not committed at all to protecting the ice in front of their net
Fair assessment, I don't necesarily agree about Bobs not being elite anymore, but we can have our different viewpoints. I think he slumped for a bit, especially once the massive contract came into play, but he got the kick in the butt he needed and he is playing at the level we saw in Columbus near the end.Overall. I'm not sure he's actually worse than Bob. Remember, Bob isn't an elite goalie anymore. He's a legacy goalie. He just had his best season in Florida, he's been up and down since he got there. Bad year, bad year, good year, bad year, great playoffs, good year, mediocre playoffs.
Skinner isn't a bad goalie in his career, but his playoffs have been a DISASTER BOTH years.
So for that? Yeah, I'll go with Bob is better. The way Skinner sinks teams in the playoffs really should cost him points.
Even though he hasn't been a bad regular season goalie, he's just not good enough in now 26 playoff games over two years.
Caring about TV ratings is the absolute worst way to watch hockey.McDavid vs. New York would be as good as the league can hope for.
Otherwise, Chicago is the only big draw in the Western Conference for the league.
It doesn't matter who is in the finals the NHL will always have shitty TV ratings in the US relatively speaking compared to the other sports. The league needs to step in here and award Edmonton some powerplays.
Dallas vs. Florida in the Finals would get worse ratings than a WNBA game.
