RR is not drew Doughty. Him playing is gonna make little to no difference lol.

Mouth-foaming doberman attitude tonight for the full 60. You have to take it from them.

Man, I never thought the desire for the Cup would be higher than it was in 2012, but for me, it is...

Just so much more emotion and drama in this playoff run for the Kings. Hell, I may be foaming at the mouth more than the team will be tonight.

o hai :)

Finish this thing tonight and dispose of the Rangers plz.

On a serious note, heck of a team you guys have. Best of luck tonight, you have a bunch of Habs fans rooting for you.

Chicago in this year's playoffs:
Home:
W/L: 8-1
GF / GA: 32 / 19

Road:
W / L: 2-6
GF / GA: 18 / 28

This team is Jekyll & Hyde. Keep the pressure on them at Staples - and let's have them end their season at 2-7 away from Chi.

GKG.

Actually, that's comforting. I hope the road tendency holds tonight.

I'm tempted to record the game so I can fast forward. Im not sure I have the nerves to sit through it real time.

Yeah, I'm considering the same thing.

Who compared him to Doughty?
I asked if there was any update as I am a fan of RR. Didn't claim he would make or break the game. Although I do think he is less of a liability when healthy then Greene.
With that I just read twiiter and it sounds like he is out.

No I didn't say you said that which is why I didn't quote you. I'm just saying RR in general is literally at most a little improvement than whoever we have in our line up.

Not captain material..

“This is an opportunity to close out a series, which is always the hardest thing to do. Knowing how they play at home, and how desperate they’re going to be tonight, if we’re not looking at it as a Game 7, then there’s something wrong with us.”

“This group, I say this all the time, we’ve been through everything as a group. We’ve faced different types of challenges. Our approach to every game is pretty much the same, as silly as that sounds sometimes. This is no different than being down in a series. It’s just about going out and playing our game. When we do that, when each of us our focused on what we need to do individually, our jobs come together collectively as a group. Our approach to the game, regardless of the situation in the series, or situation in the game, we go about it the same way.”

no stress on my part at all. the boys got this going away. i've called the series perfectly before it began - the split at the UC, the sweep at home, the G5 loss and LA closing G6 on Staples ice.

these are the two teams i watch the most, so i know what they are capable of and not capable of. CHI, the media and the fans are finally coming to terms that it isn't all about what the Hawks are doing wrong. they are finally acknowledging that LA is now an equal foe and forcing the outcome.

LA almost beat them in G5 at the UC playing one of their worst defensive games since G1 & G2 against the Guppies. LA almost won the game on the road in a notoriously difficult barn to win in, while giving up a lot of uncharacteristic D breakdowns.

i no longer stress, worry or think we will lose to CHI like we used to. these teams on ice are comparable in talent and almost in speed at this point. the addition of Gabby, Toffoli and Pearson to the line up has completely changed the dynamic of how these teams match up. LA no longer has to play for a 2-1 W like they did a year ago.

i respect CHI, but i no longer fear playing CHI. G5 the Kings didn't play a sound defensive game and Quick didn't have a strong game in his own right. i firmly believe Darryl and the guys themselves will turn this around tonight.

CHI has NOT to this point been able to answer LA's offense. did hell freeze over? i didn't get the memo. no matter what has happened in this series, the Hawks haven't been able to answer LA's offense. G1 was a 3-1 loss, which was a goal post away from being 2-2 late in the 3rd. that is the only game the Hawks have limited LA.

tonight will be LA in a 5-2, 5-3 game with an EN at the end to close out.

I keep telling myself over and over that this really doesn't matter. But it does matter! I want Hawks fans to be bitter and resentful. I want Ducks fans to be even more resentful and bitter than they already are. I want to be the guy at the top of a hill laughing as millions of people are burning. Thank you very much, light me!

when compared to Matt Greene, I beg to differ.

Yeah, being able to skate for 18-20 as opposed to 12-14 is actually a big deal. Even still, we can get away with Greene playing on home ice, did it twice already.

The biggest concern back there is that Mitchell and Voynov need to be better.

I wouldn't do it in a game like this, but it would be an interesting science experiment to put Trevor Lewis on Patrick Kane. I don't mean match lines, I mean tell Lewis to go out there and just follow him all over the ice. Stay between him and our net at all times and don't give him an inch to breathe. Lewis has the speed and the tenacity, it just might work...

Anyhow, I am ready...

I've been very happy with Greene since he's been in the lineup but when you put it like that...Please let Regehr be back! lol
