I love how all the media talk is about Keith being out and what a big loss that is for the Hawks....but nobody seems to mention that we've been playing without Richards.

Might have something to do with having just won a game without Richards, and fairly handily at that. Now, I still don't think they can win a road game without him, but that's neither here nor there.

Wouldn't that happen in any sport though? And what's the logic at keeping the return dates a secret?

So the opposing team doesn't know what to expect.
Sit he player out for the series or if they could suddenly appear in warm ups the next game?

IMO. We should tenderize Hjalmarsson's knee a little more tonight with a few hit from Brown, Clifford, Penner and who ever get a chance. Remember to use Bickel's kneeing technique that he did on Voynov. That will weaken their D down even further in the absence of DUNGAN Keith.

I almost forgot about Sharp. He will need some in the mid section as well. it is time for us to exploit and give them a taste of nasty.

Go Kings!!! Get this game tonight.

I sure would like to know why this league is so secretive about injuries. I see no motivation to keep these things so secret.

Off the top of my head, I can't think of any other major pro sports league that hides its players' injuries. MLB, NFL, and NBA all readily report specifics about a player injury and even project playing-return times.

Maybe because hockey is the only sport played with a weapon in everyone's hand? Other sports don't have the hockey "scrums" after whistles either, it's easier to give a little cheap shot when no one is looking in the NHL.

Leddy will probably get more minutes in the absence of Keith, and we need to take advantage of that. He is very prone to making boneheaded mistakes.

Am I the only one that expects Chicago's best effort tonight? Kings need to be flying to start the game and must score the first goal.

Now I am not saying he is the only one, or that he not a huge piece of our puzzle, but he has not played well on the road.
Hopefully he is back for game 5.

Would like to see a big performance from Brown, both physically and offensively. He's capable of it and I'm hoping tonight is the night he displays his on-ice leadership skills. Not just him, but every other important player on this roster has to step up tonight to even the series up and turn this into a best-of-three.

Best of three. :) And I agree, Brown needs to pull his head out of his ass and score a goal while hitting everything in a blackhawks sweater that moves, maybe even a few things that don't...

Thanks for clearing that up, heh. The Kings really need to generate some second and third scoring chances in order to increase their scoring opportunities. Looking at the two goals scored in Game 3, the Kings had sustained pressure on the Williams goal as well as the Voynov goal, and they were created by aggressively attacking the Hawks' net, which opened up others to bury the puck past Crawford.

Looked like he got Sharp pretty good last game. I never want to see a player get hurt, but if something were to happen to Toews they would be so weak down the middle.
Toews is a warrior and will play though anything though.

Since he didn't skate today after skating yesterday he won't be back for game 5. If we are lucky, and I mean really lucky, he'll be back for game 7 if it gets that far. But I would not expect to see him until game one of the finals if we make it.

But no other sports do this. It just seems stupid to me.

The Kings are in game Four of the WCF with Kopitar and Brown having combined for only Five goals....Three of those Goals were even strength.

This time last year They had Twelve combined....All Twelve were even strength. Also last year they had played less games by now.

Good god man.

Looking at all the numbers, it just goes to show how ridiculous(good) the Kings were last year.

Not just that, but how good they are PERIOD. Our two top guys have not played like our top guys at all, we have had injuries, and we are still in the WCF. I also feel like, of all the teams, the Kings have had the hardest road to the conference finals.

Patrick Kane 2g 10pts
Jonathan Toews 1g 7pts

vs.

Anze Kopitar 2g 7pts
Dustin Brown 3g 4pts

meh ... can Brown & Kopi be BETTER, sure ... but not like Kane or Towes are getting it done either these playoffs.

going to school in texas and having a girlfriend whose a spurs fan has its disadvantages. wont be able to watch tonight, being relegated to get info sent to my phone

GKG. need to go back to chicago tied up

Duncan Keith is absolutely critical to the Hawks breakouts and transition game, it will be interesting to see how they try and compensate without him logging 25+ minutes back there.

I don't think it will end well for Chicago, guys like Leddy and Oduya need to be targets on the forecheck all game long. A win tonight would be huge.

I knew how sick I was after the Sharks won game 4 and had all the momentum, would like to strike a similar fear in the Hawks.
