Big Game Story: Western Conference Final’s Round #3, Game #4. After taking the first two games on back-to-back nights at United Center, the Chicago Blackhawks had a five-game winning streak snapped in the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Tuesday at Staples Center, as the Los Angeles Kings scratched out their 15th straight win on home ice and eighth straight in the postseason.
KINGS need to remind BLACKHAWKS, KINGS FANS and THEMSELVES which team won a Stanley Cup Championship in 2012 not 2010. GO KINGS GO !!!

2013wcfschedulernd3.png

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Best GDTs in the business, Thanks Puck!

Hoping and expecting a statement making win tonight.

We need a strong first, we need to keep hitting hard, and we need to remind Chicago they are playing against the defending Champs who won for a reason. 7 wins left. Let's get one of them tomorrow.

Go Kings Go WCFs style!!!

Gotta take advantage of CHI's shorthanded defense. Perfect storm to tie this series up and steal one on the road in Game 5. Enact your vengeance, but do so within the confines of the rules.

4-2 Kings.

I'm more worried about the suspension being a rallying cry for Chicago. I don't think losing Keith for one game is that big of a loss. The Kings lost their top playoff scorer and still won on Tuesday.

I remember when Stoll was suspended against SJ and Kopitar was injured, the Kings played their best game of the series and won with Handzus as the #1 center and I don't even remember who were the rest of the centers. Richardson had to be one of them. Does anyone remember that lineup?

Go Kings!

I am very nervous.
Anyone know if Hjalmarsson is hurt. I am sure a lot of players are but watching Campbell last night it reminded me of the Voynov block Hjalmarsson had last game.

I think Clifford-Richardson-Simmer was our scoring line :laugh::laugh: IIRC they actually did well and averaged ppg.

Lewis must have been one of the other centers.

Maybe
Smyth-Handzus-Brown
XX-Lewis-Willy (with half a shoulder)
Cliffy-Richie-Simmer

Does that look right?

Good times looking back at the crappy teams we iced...

I still miss Simmonds. Him and Clifford on the same line would still be lethal.

Skated for 15 minutes yesterday. Probably the earliest we'll see him is either game 6 or 7 if the series goes that long. Protocol for 1 week symptom free when it comes to concussions.

I agree with this. Seems like there's a progression to it - skate during the extras skate (what he did yesterday) then skating with team in non-contact jersey, then full practice with team, then back in lineup.

Game 5 at the earliest, but I'm thinking game 6 is more likely.

You don't think losing Drew Doughty for a game would be that big of a loss? It's basically the same impact.

It's a huge loss for a series, but not that big for one game. You don't think the Kings could rally for one game without Drew if they still had a healthy Kopitar and Richards? Hawks are very healthy right now, no other major injuries.

Who thought the Kings would win game 2 of the SJ series in 2011? No Stoll and no Kopitar. Kings won 4-0.

While I do agree with this to a degree, we see the difference in our defense when Matt Greene is missing from game to game. Doesn't mean Chicago can't win this game, but their personality on defense and breakouts from their zone is going to change.
