We need to open up the second like we started the game. Next period is typically the hawks worst. Need to capitalize on that.

Easy on the random match ups, Sutter.
 
Both goals on coaching, IMO.

On the PP the Kings win a draw, lose a board battle, the puck is cleared and the Kings bring it back in offside, the #1 unit was on the ice for :31 seconds and Sutter changes it up, he goes from Gaborik-Kopitar-Carter to Brown-Richards-Williams, the drop off is immense and switching units after 31 seconds is flat out stupid.

And once again, Sutter goes veteran heavy and it burns him, the TOI for Pearson and Toffoli is ridiculous.

The coaching has stunk this game, stunk.
 
Stoll was not on the ice for either Toews goal.

Williams, Richards and Muzzin are -2. The Kings should not have those forwards out against Toews.

My entire 1st period wasn't broadcast because of the shooting that happened in Santa Barbara last night :-\ They kept delaying it because they we're waiting for the sherriffs press conference, didn't know there was something going on with Snowden too that is worthy of messing up peoples hockey game :(

IMO Williams stunk it up. Oh well. It happens.

Even if Sutter were to sit King, it isn't as if we have a legitimate winger to play in his place. Maybe give someone like Vey a shot, but other than that, not much else.

Exactly. That second PP is not going to get it done, period. Add the fact that Toffoli and Pearson have been two of our best and most productive players, and they can't get a sniff of PP time while the three vets crap the ice on the PP. It's infuriating

Agreed. If Sutter matches properly we win.

We match well against them, and we're down by one, playing a better first than last game.


We're gonna have a good second.

Frustrating. I feel for you. Any signs that they're going to return to the game soon?

Hope some lurkers jump on and post. I'm getting nervous watching this game, or should I say, Discover commercials, and need some distraction.

I think Vey or even Andy Andy could be more effective than King, provide more speed and energy if nothing else.

It would be nice for once if Sutter went heavy with that 70's line to start a game rather than being down in either the game or the series before he returns the icetime to what they should be.

I realize MR is coming off of two good games, and I knew Sutter would increase his icetime, but I don't see the Kings winning many games when MR is second among forwards in icetime. His defensive shortcomings are going to get eaten up with this team.

It sucks because he has been really good as a bottom six guy, but really bad as a top six guy, been that way all playoffs, wish DS could see that.

Pearson and Toffoli's speed and skill have given them fits so far, and in game 3 they end up with the same or less ice time than Lewis and Clifford after one period.
 
Almost got in a fight with a drunk CHI fan in the urinal line.

Hockey fans and beer. Gotta love it.
