lets see the refs LOOK that hard to call a KINGs PIM when a hawk player is taking a KING player down....

really now, greene took him down from behind illegally and the refs are looking for something to call on zus, they should have opened there eyes a split second sooner

ref called the play dead before quick covered it...look at the replay, the ref is anticipating.....that is not what they are supposed to do...

brown jumps into a hit....no charge called....

whistles put away for the third and they call that......

and holding the stick not called......

brown trip not called.....

at least 4 clear penalties for the kings in the first halt of this period not called.......put your red glasses on....

A great win. The 70's line continues to carry us through the series. The funny thing is, I didn't think Kopitar or the 1st line looked particularly good this game. Couldn't contain Toews on both goals. But whatever, it was a nice win (finally at home). Doughty is a ****ing beast as usual. And its good to see Voynov pot one, maybe that'll wake him up.

i believe it was MR's line out there for the second one, but i do agree....Kopi didnt look like his usual self out there tonight. good thing is other players (the 70's line, Cliffy, Richards, etc) picked up the slack. this series has a much different feel to it than the SJ/Anaheim series'.....the Kings look like they're hungry for revenge from last year

It doesn't matter man, I mentioned the same thing about the ref whiners in our GDT's should listen to Chicago sports radio and see how ridiculous they sound. It doesn't matter though, the GDT's are still littered with posts about the refs. We even had someone comment in the GDT about how the AMart puck over the glass penalty was "The NHL putting their golden boy on the PP"

People have resorted to complaining about automatic calls.

That 70's line just caused a whole bunch of problems. Coach Q put the Toews line on them. So what happens in game 4 when the Kopi line lights them up because the Toews line is up against the 70's line?
 
Pearson and Toffoli have been a big difference this year. Quick looks like he is gaining confidence against the Hawks. Gotta get Kopi's line going.
 
Brown, Gaborik and Kopitar all looked acceptable. They didn't score but created several nice chances off the rush and cycle. 12 shots combined, they're at the very least contributing by keeping the puck in the other end. And once Toews was redeployed they were flying. Pick your poison, Chicago.

Carter & Sons have been phenomenal, clutch in every sense of the word. Muzzin looks smoother out there every game moreso than the last.

But seriously, we need to do that TWO MORE TIMES.

Hopefully That 70's Line plays a lot in the first period of Game 1, because they were not utilized well in the first period of this game. The Kings have a chance to take a stranglehold of this series on Monday and a fast start will go a long way towards that. And that line has just given Chicago fits.
 
IMO if Sutter kept Toews vs Kopitar in the first. They wouldnt have been shut out.

Carter & Sons is a good monicker as well. It sounds like they either install carpeting or do roofing. :laugh:

We can call them anything, they are flat out getting it done. Awesome to watch.

Just back from the game. There were a CRAPLOAD of Blackhawk fans there tonight. It looked like King fans at the Pond there for a while. So sweet to shut them up and send them home sad. Awesome game. :D

Honestly I'm okay with what Kopi's line is doing. They're doing a good job neutralizing the Toews line and getting some scoring chances themselves, even if they aren't putting up numbers to go with it. Meanwhile, the Toews line isn't being used against Carter & Co., who are absolutely molesting Chicago and taking their lunch money afterwards.

Williams... dude bro... you make it so hard to love you man. Stop hesitating and just make the play... you're a gamer trust your instincts. Turnover for Towes first goal was terrible... just get that puck in deep if the cute play isn't there.

Anyone else see King demolish a Hawks defender at center ice in the 3rd? HAHHAHAH! True story.

Great game... up 2:1.... really hoping for the next win... I really want to see Towes lose his ****.
