Our defenseman are deplorable. Voynov just looked like a little boy. How they have done what they have in the playoffs is a tribute to the offense. It's a complete turnaround from the last couple of years. D has been average to below average and Quick has been great and terrible. Offense is steady and heavy.

Bleh, our depth is too slow against Chicago.

Our biggest issue is team speed, DL really really needs to do something about it. If we get eliminated by the Hawks, the obvious main issue is the lack of speed on the back end. I can care less about the Jennings trophy if we lose to the Hawks every year because of speed.

Look at the difference on the PP's. You could drive an 18 wheeler through the passing lanes the Hawks have on the PP.

A sign of a PP that is getting good pressure is when the point men are able to collapse to below the circles, the Hawks just had that on their PP. The Kings PP is Doughty and Voynov shooting high and wide.

The Kings scored a really nice PP goal against the Ducks with some beautiful passing, but that was with Martinez on the point, when Slava is out there the movement just dies.

That looked like a weak call

Agreed.

There have been a few. I think the interference on brown was pretty weak call too, our D had done just as bad without calls, it was pretty light. Then again I don't really like the new interference on forwards who dump pucks around the D on a charge. Really if the D doesn't interfere the forward can almost always go around and recover the puck... At that point to me they never lost possession and I really don't like telling a D not to hold his ground and to just let someone by.

Kopitar said he doesn't agree with the official statistics for faceoffs in game 1. Could it be possible that NHL skews statistics for golden boy Towes? Kopitar said he felt he won all of them. I can't remember anymore but I bet the players know.

This is all on sutters ********.we need more speed, he plays greene, we need to capitalize on the pp still won't give pearson and toffoli a shot and plus really I'm sure mcnabb can play as well as greenes sorry ass plus he provides pp upside.****in idiot oh and good ole mike richards just doesn't know the situation 3 on 1 on the pk means 1 man back, you don't chance a saucer pass u just shoot on net.****in pathetic turn of events!

If the Kings can't score first, then they HAVE to at least score on special teams or they don't have a prayer.

Sadly this game is already over 9 times out of 10. The Kings suck at chasing the game. Hawks do as well but they haven't been behind one second in this series as of yet.

The problem is, nobody can hit the net or when a one timer is set up all the guys wait a split second to shoot letting the lane be closed. Doughty had two great chances and missed high and wide by 30 feet combined!

So why is marty not on the first pp? I know sutter doesn't like him, but Slava hasn't done anything right this season. Heck, Muzzin is a way better option than slava

There was a play when Doughty had the puck on the far side and Kopitar could have crept down and been wide open for the one-timer but instead he stays planted out near the point.

You know what's so funny about the Voynov pinch.

In the third period of Game 1 Voynov had a chance to pinch in for an offensive chance, he went in, hesitated then yielded to Mitchell (which should never happen). The pass didn't connect to Mitchell and the Kings missed out on an offensive chance in a game they were down 2-1.

Fast forward to today and in a 0-0 game in the first period with his team on the kill Voynov decides to pinch in when he has no business doing so.

Just about sums up Slava's miserable season.

I'm not going on the mains boards lol. It will be too painful to read about how bad we're getting outplayed.
