Imagine posting the possibility of this three years ago, and the laughs that would ensue. Such an amazing accomplishment to win this way against teams of the caliber of our opponents. There should be no dismissal of an "easy road" this year if we are able to get it done.

Agreed, but people are already trying to cheapen the Sharks win by referencing their perennial choking habit (never mind their regular season and the threads about "are the sharks the team to beat in the west?") and the Ducks win by saying they weren't that good and also a little dash of we-got-lucky. We need this Hawks win so it's unequivocal, everyone has to shut up regardless. I feel that way even without it, just saying, that's just about the only way to quiet the detractors/haters.

If we're waiting for empirical evidence that Kings deserve what they've won to shut people up, I can save you a bit of time: people will never shut up.

Muzzin Face is almost as good as Dwight King face

Agree completely. Last night was a good start ;)

Oh for sure, people will find fault wherever they want to.

The next thing will be "well, the Kings weren't able to stop the 2013 Hawks, so we'll never know if they're the better team" or something.

About to deplane at LAX. Meanwhile, a mile south, @curtiszupke reports Sutter said that Regehr has a knee injury and hasn't resumed skating.

Its just funny. So the Hawks luckily won game 1, and people say it wasn't lucky. Kings win game 2, its lucky. The logic is non existent. Hawks luckily won game 1 but I guess it's hard to acknowledge that.

sports radio here in Chicago today has been great. most Hawks fans blame the refs and the Hawks underperforming or just collapsing. almost no reference to LA being a team that can beat them. in the past hour i only heard one caller give LA the props they deserve.

complete dismissive attitude of their opponent and apparently only the refs and the hawks can beat them.

as bad as i thought beating ANH last round was vital. beating CHI now surpasses beating ANH. living here and having to deal with the Hawks fans belittle the Kings and any other team is getting old. it is time to take them down a notch or two

What a bunch of whiners. Ya, blame those refs that gave the Hawks four powerplay opportunities, including a 5-on-3 in the 1st period. Yep, it's all the refs fault that it was only a 2-0 going into the late stages of the 2nd period.

Hell, did you see Quenneville's post game presser? Doesn't once credit the Kings' play. The arrogance of Blackhawks fans reminds me of what we had to deal with during the early 90s with Chicago Bulls fans and all of their bandwagoners that were visible in just about every city. Then Jordan went away and so did all of those Bulls fans.

I'm sure it was very much like that as well with the Lakers. Hell we see it in LA when the Lakers are deep in the playoffs and 7 out of every 10 cars has a Lakers car flag on. Convenient how they disappear when things are going rough. Just like those Hawks fans who weren't filling up the United Center when the Hawks were rebuilding. Now they're everywhere.

Oh man, that needs to be put up in the Kings' dressing room next to Quick's locker.

I agree completely.

Not only that, but its just plain wrong. Quick is much more of a consistent goalie than Crawford is. What we saw last night was Crawford being the Crawford he was in March.

I'm just jealous that there's actual hockey talk on the radio.

- not in LA

Has there been a game where Quennville hasn't lost it and whined to the refs? I didn't see him whining when the refs missed a blatant offside on the Hawks 2nd goal.

Well people who blame refs are morons, and there are plenty out in full effect today on Chicago sports talk. I really wish all the people who pollute the GDT with the ref talk would just listen to some of these idiots who called into Chicago sports stations today and maybe they would realize how ridiculous they sound in the GDT's.

Speaking of Chicago media, I love how Andrew Shaw is being anointed as some kind of savior, sort of reminds me about Stoll last year, Shaw is a pretty good player, but lets be serious here, series aren't won and lost by guys like Shaw and Stoll.
