I am not nervous this is a freebie game coming off a 2nd game 7 win

and flying across country

then playing at noon

no idea what to expect anymore but its been an awesome ride :handclap:

Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews needs to be crushed every time they have the puck. And to the Chicago fans that keep coming into our threads, yes, I want the Kings to blow up both of those two every time they have the puck à la a train hitting a car that was trying to cross the tracks at the last minute. I'm sick and tired of Kane acting like a jackass every damn time he scores a goal against the Kings and Kopitar needs to show Toews that he's the better center. Which he is.

Shutting up some of the smug hawks fans would be nice. :)

Absolutely this.

Surprised the NHL is allowing the Hawks to potentially get injured in a series they'll easily win.

The single most important thing the Kings need to do, and this cannot be overemphasized, is to weather the storm early and not give up a goal. It's become a trend every time these teams meet that the Kings give up a goal (sometimes a softie) in the opening minutes. Moreover, it seems like the Kings are never leading. Get an early goal and play with a lead. The Kings are a completely different team when leading vs. when trailing.

I don't especially care if we win this particular game, as long as we play our game. I want to see us slow down the Hawks through the middle, take away space with sticks, and take the body when possible. We need to carry through the good systemic play that won us games six and seven. If we do that, our chances in the series are as good as they can be.

They're so big and bad. I'm ****ing terrified.

:sarcasm:

Let's go. It's time for Brown and Richards to turn on the hitting game and blow some guys up.

Yeah, I'm not even bothering with hawks fans this series and if you value your avatars I recommend stayin away the same :P

Let them come here for discussion if the reasonable ones want; there's no way to have a good discussion over the sound of chest thumping about last year.

We're playing with house money in this game. I don't think anyone expects us to win the opener. Weather the early push and start to establish your game. GKG!

I have a feeling Carter bags one today. Looked really good on Game 7 in Anaheim.

Seriously though, the Kings last year weren't even close to this current squad.

Yep, Quick was carrying them on his back. They're better, and they've still had to play 14 games, which isn't good. But I think most of these guys are playing really well and covering for some of the weaknesses other players have.

I do :) Not in a "I'm positive we will win because this will be easy" kind if way, but more like "it's the Kings so expect the unexpected". Love being the away team with the pressure off. No one's expecting a Kings win, and it will feel good if it happens. This team can do it. Just play your game Kings and show them what they're up against.

Go Kings Go!!!

No team has ever won the conference final after going through two game sevens? That's just motivation! LA Kings love those odds!

Mitchell in for Schultz if the Kings think he can play a regular shift per TSN. Went hard in the pre-game warmup testin out his hammy.

Update: Mitchell in.

You know what, Chicago has needed to play 12, and every game they've played has been close. The Kings at least played in a couple blowouts where their mental edge wasn't exhausted as much, and didn't have to travel at all in round 2.
