Until Vegas has been in the league long enough, you can't complain!!Default excuse is "its the playoffs" but that tripping call was as soft as feather down. Call the obvious **** if you must make calls.
Problem throughout all of the playoff series. No consistency in calls during the games and different standards in every game. No one on any teams know what a penalty is during the game and then the standards change for the next game in the series. NHL needs to find a way for consistent officiating in games.
It’s really no win for them. Fans (on both sides) scream at no calls and then scream when they call it tight because their controlling the game. What ya gonna do?I just feel nhl refs are terrible in general.
Hurts an amazing product the way games are called.
Exactly just be consistent. Call Wheeler when he didn't do anything then don't call four crosschecks on schief in front of the net.Problem throughout all of the playoff series. I don't know. I think Reaves is stronger on the puck and smarter with his passes when he has it. Carrier is better with stick work in flight, I'll give you that but Reaves when he's actually focused on the hockey seems to be the more effective player.Carrier is also more skilled with the puck than Reaves (doesn't say all that much) and tends to be more tenacious, as well.
Vegas was playing prevent rather than man to man defense. Winnipeg controlled possession but Vegas gave them very few dangerous chances at net. Especially compared to the first period.Jeez, am I the only one who saw the Jets control most of that second period and the majority of the first? Vegas scored on their opportunities, Jets for whatever reason are struggling to score just like they did at home vs Nashville. Vegas isn't giving much up, but they're not pressing the attack anywhere near as much. Jets get one and this game is going to open up and get crazy.

I don't think it's much to ask for consistency the missed trip in front of the Jets net, and the one called just now are pretty good example of inconsistency it's frustrating to anyone who loves the game.....they have to be better imoIt’s really no win for them. Jets are going to come out swinging.

Yeah, I never once said they had no chance of winning the series at all unlike multiple jets fans in this very thread. I said the Knights will in the series in 5 games, and hope the hometown hero Ryan Reaves scores a hatty, that's it. If the Jet's win, they win. At least be honest when trying to conversate.Yeah but the difference here is I'm not an humongous Jets hater who will tell that Jets have no chance to win this series when it's not true.
20 years yes. And plays like that get let go all the time even in the regular season. Like I said, given how both teams have comported themselves, we were overdue for a call. So I'm not upset. I just wish the more obvious stuff from both sides would've been called. If the refs were keeping their nose to the glass on that play it could've been 4 on 4 for the embellishment.if your stick is in front of their skates and they fall expect a tripping call
I'm sure most of you of have watched enough hockey to know this by now

I agree with that.I don't mind anyone preferring Reaves over Carrier, probably is more effective when he's on but I think having both to switch out for each other when they aren't on is a good situation to have.
