I really have liked Eric Cole during this tourney. He's a gritty player with some decent moves.

yep, best player in USA so far in this tournament.

Cole does showcase alot of moves...but he has John Daly syndrome...lots of power,can't drop the putts to finish the play though.

Still 1-1 in between periods now.

USA has 45 seconds of powrplay time to start the 2nd period....they should dedicate those 45 seconds to getting Modano a shot on goal.

I also like E.Cole ,but that was pretty nice jump...evne thou almost everybody does it...

A few weak calls by the ref, but other than that pretty nice hockey. USA is trying to get to the corners in Finnish zone and wrestle, they got a bit better at the end of the period. Finland certainly had the most scoring chances, but not that many dangerous ones yet.

I'd expect USA to get tired eventually, but they have fought well. Saravo sucked in that goal by Park...he was doing absolutely nothing...not blocking the pass, not taking the guy or his stick out...he was just a tourist there.

Somebody remind me again what the hell Saravo is doing in these games?? Do we really have that sucky depth at stiffs like him need to be used?? How about if we let Väänänen, Kukkonen, Niemi and Karalahti handle the PKs and let Saravo be a mascot or something?

The Finns are showing much more determination today...I knew they would bounce back...but they are becoming very undisciplined....whatever happened to the days when Finnish players drew the other team into penalties?
