Have to admit... Matheson played a lot better lately. Today he was flawless. So... me thinks Matheson for 2C and a solid physical RHD. Do it, Hughes! He was so good. Perfect partner for Hutson
And man was that third period great hockey.

he gave me hibby-jibbies tonight... every shot felt like had a potential to go in. Bad rebounds... Can't handle the puck to help the D.I'd play Dobes against Washington. Montembeault has already lost twice against them. He can play the home game vs Dallas.
I loved his game tonight. Every few games he has a real bad one. But he was definitely a net positive tonight.Have to admit... Matheson played a lot better lately. Today he was flawless. So... me thinks Matheson for 2C and a solid physical RHD. Do it, Hughes!
Matheson’s skating is outstanding and he’s a physical specimen. He needs to keep things simple. That’s when he’s at his best. He’s realized Hutson is accomplishing 2x more than he is with 50% of the physical tools. And this is not a knock on Matheson at all - I’m sure he is working hard to improve his game now that he has Hutson to challenge and inspire him.
So Prime doesn't have the reply of the entire game? Or is it me who just couldn't find it? Had to watch rest of the game en francais on SN app. Wasn't bad, but there was no Blake.
Ditto.I said this summer that we would be a bubble team and got laughed at...
Matheson doesn't get you a 2c + a defHave to admit... Matheson played a lot better lately. Today he was flawless. So... me thinks Matheson for 2C and a solid physical RHD. Do it, Hughes!
And Runner kills it yet again. Love it.This and this and this happened!
Habs came out like gangbusters despite a long and tiresome road trip.
Kaiden Guhle set the tone with a huge hit.

But the Cannots were tenacious and planted a Trojan Horse honeypot in the crowd.

Not to be outdone, Habs responded with Claudine from The Shlag aka Pierre Houde's Line Graine:

Hutson assisted on a key goal by Guhle, in what should have been the latter's bobblehead night. Hutson finishes his evening with 1 goal and 2 helpers.

And Nick Suzuki notched the game winner!

The 3 stars:
1. Lane Hutson
2. Nick Suzuki
3. JT Asshole Miller

Lots of great points but don't be hard on yourself, MSL deserved the criticism, it's great to see however that he has adjusted and improved as a coach.Well, I’m a man who always stands up and admits when he’s wrong in “real life” so I may as well do it here. Again.
Marty St Louis, is a good coach, I was wrong about him and I apologize for all the crass comments and rude remarks I made about his abilities when I was an extremely frustrated Habs fan. While he did make some awful mistakes, he’s proven he can adapt and has the team playing the best hockey I’ve seen them play in a very long time. He is the man behind the team’s turnaround and I feel like I should stand up and say, “I was wrong and I’m sorry.”
Lane Hutson is phenomenal. He’s gone head to head with Makar and Hughes, and come out on top. He’s a number one defenseman in this league already, and I genuinely feel like he’s got a shot at 60 points and the Calder. His poise, vision and hockey IQ are remarkable. I said this in the Hutson thread, but we are witnessing the birth of a superstar here.
Kirby Dach has been a monster lately, making big plays, scoring timely goals. It’s wonderful to see him keep going and scoring.
Suzuki and Caufield are quietly on track to be PPG players. Caufield has that elite shot and sniper accuracy, while Suzuki is becoming one of the best two way centers in the game. We need to get Slaf at their level, but he seems to be making progress.
Kaiden Guhle is the rock that the defense will be built upon. When he ran over Lekerrimaki and glared at him after the carnage, it set the tone immediately. Suddenly the Habs are the ones throwing the body, initiating the contact, setting the physical tone. Xhekaj and Struble were also very physical and played solid games.
The fourth line was terrific. Again. Evans, Armia and Heineman were fantastic in every zone. They may be the best fourth line in the NHL.
Montembeault was awful. He almost managed to lose the game for the Habs. It was extremely fortuitous that Myers only hit the iron because he had Monty beaten badly, and may well have put the game out of reach.
Overall one of the most entertaining games of the last couple of years. Great stuff.

My first game with Prime.................absolutely excellent coverage, picture clarity, the number of mics they must have to pick up the sound better.......the crowd noise was great to hear again!!Great game on Amazon. 10/10 would watch again. Highly Recommend!
I think she’s doing the sword battle move lol
MSL is like the team, far from a finished product........but has come a long way as the team has, especially since the Turkey Break they had. Great to see............Lots of great points but don't be hard on yourself, MSL deserved the criticism, it's great to see however that he has adjusted and improved as a coach.
I think Monty is mentally exhausted having played almost 35 games already. It might be time to lessen his workload and hopefully Dobes is the answer.
He doesn't mean to.Mike Matheson is scaring me recently with his consistency as a #1RD.![]()
There is a video on X where they focus on Matheson’s reaction to the winning goal. For a guy who would have been out there 20 games ago, he is super happy and jumps on the ice first and goes straight to Hutson.Mike Matheson is scaring me recently with his consistency as a #1RD.![]()
