No surprise.
From what I remember, Cuban reacted *after* the whole thing became public. I also know that the Mavericks are his baby. So to think he was 100% out of the loop is nonsense to me.I thought Cuban was only guilty of not being hands-on enough to realize what was happening, and when he found out he took significant immediate action.
Is that not what happened?
Yeah. There was a graph someone posted of the nearest bar to every NFL stadium and Washington had a pretty bad rankingIt’s a tough spot for the Commanders since DC taxpayers don’t want to fund anything and VA has already offered a billion dollars. Also height restriction is a thing in DC so some state of the art stadium could be hard to build. One reason FedEx is such a terrible experience is it isn’t close to anything, no bars or breweries to go to after a game. They need to be mindful of those things
The team is the New England Patriots not the Boston Patriots. And the current stadium was built directly adjacent to old Foxboro Stadium. Those are no farther from DC than Foxborough, MA is from Boston.
The beginning of the end of the Redball Team being a true centerpiece of the identity of being a "Washingtonian" was JKC moving the team out of the city. It’s a tough spot for the *Shit Waffles since DC taxpayers don’t want to fund anything and VA has already offered a billion dollars. Also height restriction is a thing in DC so some state of the art stadium could be hard to build. I saw the graph, they were the worst iircYeah. There was a graph someone posted of the nearest bar to every NFL stadium and Washington had a pretty bad ranking
The new place is going to have a retail spot mixed in so you can now go out of the stadium and walk 10 feet to a drinking bar instead of going straight home!
Why would he?
That’s not really the point. Point is plenty of people can get there even though it’s 40min south of the city. Being called “New England” doesn’t means it’s not Boston’s team. I went to UNH, and the Pats were certainly New Hampshire’s team as well, and many went to the games. The team is the New England Patriots not the Boston Patriots. And the current stadium was built directly adjacent to old Foxboro Stadium.
Why would anyone who has another offer.
Have to think that now that Cincy and Buffalo are both legit contenders, the Shit Waffles are the least desirable FA or trade destination out there, in terms of football quality. I get that DC is a great city, and sometimes players make decisions about the geographic location over competitiveness and money, but really, why would anyone want to join this mess?
$$$$ is the only real reason.
As if anybody needed another reason to hate Colin Cowturd.
