the way this team plays defense you'd think we had one of the worst goalies in the league and were trying to make up for it

but we have one of the best in the game

so why cant we play an aggressive defense pressuring guys at the point, trying to force mistakes and create offense the other way, i just dont ****ing get it.

**** you and your logic.

Del Zotto is the worst player on the ice tonight. Most of the blame on that 2nd goal should go to him, stood there and waited when he had a chance to skate to the puck and get it out.

Oates is using the same exact game plan as the Devils last year and once again it absolutely boggles my mind that Torts cannot make ANY adjustments on the even strength play. The guy has to go. I a Devils fan wants to see him go lol.

Dunno. Torts, I think thinks we're still in the 2010 season where we have no one with offense.

I was hoping Nash would be more of a playoff guy than Gaborik was. Not only has he not been so far, Stepan and Callahan have also been awful.

The Richards line can't hold the puck. Our only sustained pressure has come from the bottom six, and on the power play.

Positives:

Season over in 20 minutes and don't have to watch this team anymore.

Post of the thread! You win!

I can't wait for this group of losers to be playing golf, they probably don't even like each other (sure don't play that way), Richards will invite a "special" group of 4 to go lobster fishing off P.E.I though, Torts is automatically invited.

You pretty much summed it up well. HE DOESN'T ADAPT. HE HAS TO GO. Whichever team hires this guy after he gets fired, god have mercy on them.

I'd like him to spend a nice week vacation in Mexico. Preferably near Tijuana.

Zucc benched for the period lol. 4:45 even strength time through 2 periods haha
who needs offence, right?

Gaborik wouldn't have allowed this.

He would score GWG with torn rotator cuffs. ;) :sarcasm:

Now we await for the counter from some Tort homer.

Thank Glen Sather the architect. He let the likes of Prust, Feds, Mitchell walk and signed a loser like Pyatt.

A blind man can see that they need to adjust their 5 on 5. The Caps know that once they enter the zone, NY won't chase the puck and are content to stay low and form a box infront of Lundqvist. When NY gets the puck they make a lazy backpass to the boards that has an aggresive Cap is waiting there to intercept and the whole cycle starts over again.

The worst part about it is when we were really pressuring them 5-on-5, we were getting them to play Pejorative Slured and take penalties. For some reason, they stopped playing so hard in the 2nd half of the 2nd period. No rhyme or reason.

they decided to sit on the lead and play not to lose

I was sure he'd be. I'm sure we'll find out he's been injured or something, but he's been a massive disappointment so far.
