It was pretty good, he came in with all his speed, got the puck and made a really nice move to score. Not if it I'd call it good, or if I'd call it great. :sarcasm:

It shouldn't have counted no

Obviously not but let's just move on. Comments about rigged referees are pointless.

Moving on is probably the concern here. This was the first game of the round robin and they got the call wrong. Not like there are a dozen other games going on at the same time that the officials are watching over. If they get this call wrong, how confident can we expect to be that they will get calls correct in the medal (aka) knockout rounds correct?

How they wote in the first place. Is there how many voters? And how they have to vote to overrule the on ice call? Does it need just one crazy one to ruin the whole system?

Definitely not a goal. So guess that means we'll just give the Finns the Gold medal seeing that the hockey Gods really f***ed up!

Shouldn't have been a goal. It's embarrassing that it was reviewed and they still got it wrong.

Not a goal, but didn't matter with 2 goal lead. Player kicks the goalie pad too, which makes the goalie kick the puck in the first place.

Also some people taking this minor kids tourney a bit too seriously? What next, screaming at u18?

Another Canadian I am ...but it should not have been a goal.. And The non-goal by Finland on the Foote hand-clear was probably a goal..I thought his hand definitely was behind the goal line
.and to my eye most of tge puck had crossed the line when he cleared it back out..but unfortunately no camera angle showed that all the puck had crossed the line before the hand clear ..so because the ref had called no goal on the ice you xannot assume alk the puck had crossed eve though it probably did all get over the line. .we just cannot prove it..so by luck Canada hot a break ..On the Canada 1st goal it sure looked like the net came off before the puck went bin. .but even if it was a tie ..that you coukd not tell which happened first ..the call on the ice for a goal breaks a simultaneous event tie ..But there also is the matter of goalie I terference which was Definite ..it was not called. .not sure if the IIHF replay review can automatically rule goalie interference if never called on the ice ..they have no coach challenge for this in their rulebook. .So if they ruled the events a tie ..they had to back the ref call of a good goal ...no other alternative I theirv rules. .Again Canada got a break. SO 2 breaks for Canada ..none fir Finland on these 2 controversial calls ..If the Hockey Gods provide justice in the end. ..then they owe Finland...big time...on getting sone breaks.

Well at the time it was a no-goal lead.

Finns were justifiably pissed, which is probably why they immediately took a penalty and Canada tacked on another, what, less than a minute later?

If you need Canada to win no matter what it was a good goal

Except they didn’t need that goal to win no matter what, so I don’t see the issue or the reasoning to be so fixated on something that didn’t even end up losing them the game.
