I take it back about this team still having it in them. Complete and utter trash, should all be ****ing ashamed of themselves. We're ****ing sunk and there's no way we're going to get another cup, let alone in the playoffs. Trade the dead weight immediately. Pure **** since the trade and the All Star break.
 
The team has obviously been coasting since they had the huge division lead. I thought they would've learned after last season.
 
The Kings full lineup of clutch just got a lot less clutch without JWill. Also our plugs are offensively inept.
 
Too many passengers not enough finishers. Where the **** are Toffoli and Carter? Everytime I noticed Toffoli he was making snow angels on the ice and I can't say much about Carter since he was invisible.
 
Nice play to let us exploit a short handed situation, and to be honest rebound FED right back to Kopi... Otherwise couldn't score to save their mothers. Played well but can only score in blowouts.

Sutter riding DOughty and Muzzin into the ground is a message to DL.

I have zero confidence in this team as is. THe 2015 Kings are back. All of the indicators, none of the results, folding at important times.

Again, like the Devils game--in a vacuum, it's a game we mostly controlled and just couldn't punch one in, but when we've seen the same movie over and over and over....is it road trip fatigue? Maybe, it IS a lot of games in not a lot of time, and that would explain the taper in the third, but I'm not making any more excuses for this team. This is when you need to perform.

This whole team should be ****ing embarrassed not for tonight alone but as a cap to the whole 2016 calendar year thus far.
 
I'm not ready to throw in the towel and jump off a bridge like most of this board (and I think the Kings will be fine long term), but there is nothing more ****ing infuriating than losing a game in the closing minutes when the effort and performance warranted two points. ****ing INFURIATING losing with two minutes left on a goal from a guy that was wide ****ing open.
 
No faith left in any of these guys, the championship window has closed. McNabb needs to **** off and be waived or benched.

kings will be lucky to even get a wild card spot if they keep playing like garbage
 
The offense is just snake bit, but the defense is a long term problem.

Just a lot of bad transactions recently with the defense.

- Use top 15 pick on a defender who can't crack the lineup almost 6 years later.

- Trade significant pieces to acquire another young defenseman because the Top 15 pick is a disappointment. The player you trade for also turns into a disappointment.

- Bring in veteran defenseman who can't even play a bottom six role.

- Re-sign veteran defenseman who can't move

All the Kings needed was one of Forbort or McNabb to have actually lived up to their projections when we acquired them and we don't really have a defensive problem.
 
Why can't Muzzin recognize simple plays on the PP? He has Carter on the goal line, Toffoli in the slot, a simple pass to Carter might get a good quality chance... instead he skates in and takes a shot into the goalies chest with no screen... Muzzin missed the play and took the low % shot...

The other play that I enjoyed from Muzzin on the PP was his ripping the puck wide and clearing it for WSH when they were stuck out on an extended shift...

Can we recall Ehrhoff? :laugh:

It's just the simple plays... can't do it...

In other news Kings score 2 goals in 2 games.... distributing the 3rd line through the top 9 does not make 3 scoring lines.

At least we'll get to see the Ducks fans talking smack for winning the division again, before their inevitable playoff face plant.

Speaking of face plants... that was an epic one Brown had in the defensive zone... Didn't cause a chance or anything... just a beauty of a face plant...
 
Someone besides Kopitar, Doughty, and Quick need to step up for once or this team is ****ed plain and simple. All the plugs and passengers are getting old.
