Timo Meier

Hat trick last night to open up the QMJHL playoffs and four point night.

Ryoun-Noranda Huskies beat down on the Dummondville Voltigeurs 10-0.

However, Meier ran the ship on a really bad Halifax team this season as well.

Sharks got a nice player coming in. Could shape out to be a top line guy, at the very least a top 6 guy.

Another three points through two periods tonight. That's 7 points in 5 playoff periods. Granted, his team has scored a total of 16 goals during that span. Nice to see this production, although the real test will begin after this series.

Edit: 5 periods.

He's definitely turned up his game last few weeks, it's good to see. Give him any kind of space to take a shot and he'll make you pay. I know he's been advertised as a big game player, can't wait to see it when the games get more critical. Timo fits in well on the Huskies, he's not carrying them. The whole top line is excellent and compliments each other well.

5 points tonight (4-1-5) in the second period. Rouyn-Noranda on their way to a sweep, so we'll see how he does against better competition. But really encouraging so far.

While I realize he is essentially bullying weak competition, damn is it encouraging to see him be this dominant.

Well, in the 2nd round they get the 13 seed who pulled an upset in the 1st round. Rouyn-Noranda went 6-0 with a 24-7 goal differential this year against BB. Meier may not rack up monster points in round 2, but I sure wouldn't bet against a sweep.

they must be so demoralized when they see him step on the ice

Seems like Perron has a hand in this... The two of them combined for 26 points in 4 games.

Quite the dynamic duo, hope Gatineau wins the second round id love to see them play together live.

That first round should be taken with a grain of salt. They outscored the other team by a ratio of like 8-1 every game.

Rouyn-Noranda plays a very strong team game, it's by no means the Timo show nor should it be but I'm looking for him to step his game up a notch this round.

It should also be mentionned that Drummonville lost both of their goalies to injuries and Rouyn had the chance to face an unexperienced 16 yo!
