6'5, 214 pound US born forward playing for the under 17 team in the USHL, putting up some good numbers so far in the u this season (14 points in 16 games). Where is this kid projected to go in next years draft? Whats his upside look like?

I noticed no commitment on the USADTDP website. Does he look like he might take the CHL route or just taking his time with a commitment to the NCAA route?

I'd assume he would be in the CHL now if he wanted to go that route.

Plenty of players have gone USNTDP to CHL. Ryan MacInnis just did it, Henrik Samuelsson kind of did it with a pit stop in Sweden, Ryan Hartman, Brandon Saad, Kevin Labanc, Michael Mccarron, Jeremy Morin, Connor Chatham, Seth Jones, etc. That list could go for days

Lots of guys have committed to schools and gone the CHL route. Committing now doesn't necessarily mean he still won't jump. Happens more and more.

Seems odd for him to wait so long to commit just to jump to the CHL. I feel like if he wanted to go to the O, he would be there already

I'm not predicting it will happen, by any means, but it's entirely possible, especially for a guy who was a first round pick for his respective CHL club. Time will tell. A lot can happen in a year and a half.

Could very possibly take a similar route that Sabres prospect, and now current Sabre, Zemgus Girgensons took.

Girgensons committed to Vermont, was drafted 14th if i remember correctly, and decided to forego college and proceed straight to the AHL. He, like Greenway, had an NHL size body as a teenager.

One year in the AHL did wonders for his NHL readiness. He's playing on the Sabres first line and looks good. He'd be on the third line of most NHL teams.

I predict Greenway going 12-18th in the 2015 draft and playing one year AHL, and entering the NHL as a 19 year old in 2016. If i were Jordan, I'd keep working my hardest everday, contact Zemgus about his experience, and make the AHL versus NCAA decision in July of 2015.

Greenway should learn from Zemgus and not make that same decision. Greenway still has lots of strength to add which the NCAA route will help him with. Plenty of time to hit the gym while play 30some very competitive games.

NCAA is a viable route, i don't mean to argue that its not. But in my opinion, the other option for him to consider at this point is AHL, not OHL. Nothing against BU, the NCAA, the OHL or the Plymouth Whalers.

College Hockey is the correct decision for many, Canadian Juniors is correct for many. I'm just suggesting that Jordan Greenway may have what it takes to be an 18 year old professional - and do that in a way that maximises his development.

There certainly may be examples where NCAA could be a better decision for development. But i wouldn't use Girgensons to make that case.

I can't see how anyone could suggest that Zemgus Girgensons did anything less than make the perfect decision, or that he is a "case study" of a poor decision. I'll agree that you need several unique strengths to go professional at age 18. Greenway may have those strengths. Its just another option for him and his inner circle to consider.

It is hard for me to believe that Zemgus Girgensons wouldve been better served today as a sophmore at Vermont, than as a solid top nine NHL forward who will never need to be sent down to a lower level of hockey. Watch the Sabres, and look for #28. He's solid.

I suppose only time will tell, and maybe all roads lead to the same place. Im just saying that in addition to earlier posts about OHL and NCAA that Greenway might want to consider the AHL for a year then the NHL.

I really hope Calgary can snag Jordan. He's going to be a solid 2nd/3rd line winger. I think he's going to move up to the 10-15th overall area. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes earlier than that.

Jordan should have a bit of an increased role with the NTDP U18 squad due to Luke Kirwan's departure as it appears he's slotted into Kirwan's former spot with Colin White and Jeremy Bracco. I'm hopeful he can take the next step in his development much like a similarly sized Alex Tuch did last year with the U18s.

The way people are praising this draft a 2nd/3rd liner isn't going to be drafted 10-15th.

Anything new about this guy? He is ranked 22 in the recent CS rankings.

Listed at 6'5" 222 lbs LW

8 pts in 9 games, +7, so far with the US National dev team.

Doesn't seem to be talked about much. His frame sure makes him look interesting.

He's got great tools but just hasn't been able to put things together consistently so far this season. Injury issues have been part of that I'd say.

I still think his upside could see him taken late in the first round but his season has been a disappointment so far. He'll have opportunities to raise his stock in the second half, particularly at the U18 WJC's in April.

Heard so much hype before the season and thought he'd be up there in the top 15 disappointment would be an understatement as middle-late seems likely now.

So where are we at now with this guy? Few months ago he was listed in first round material but it seems more likely he falls to later rounds.

He's now anywhere from late 1st to 2nd. Id Be surprised if he makes it to round 3
