W Jimmy Snuggerud - Minnesota Golden Gophers, NCAA (2022, 23rd, STL)

This can be good for both Snuggerud and STL. He will come to them in 25-26 bigger, stronger, and more skilled, rather than be fighting to find his game next year at a vastly higher level.

Blues fans can relax... he will not spend 4 years in MN, and will sign with them.

I don’t think it’s likely he stays for 4 years, but I will say that money is probably less of a motivating factor for him with his family situation compared to many prospects.

Blues may want to start sweating. Not sure why he'd come back for junior year but not senior year.

Hey look, it's CHN saying otherwise.

Adam Gadon who works for CHN has talked on their podcast about it, and how he thinks the money isn’t there. Talked with coaches from all the major schools, motzko, Carle, etc etc

He still hasn’t shown any evidence of it happening

And until I see proof it’s just hearsay. All he keeps saying is I’m hearing

Wodon? No offense but the only thing I know about that guy is David Carle absolutely SH** on him in the debate about on campus regionals. He did not come off as particularly close to the college hockey world.

Until they show evidence other than “trust me bro” when pressed about a specific situation

LOLOL

Weird sophomore season for Jimmy. I knew the freshman season wasn’t a mirage, but still nice to see the big time production so far this year.
Yeah I was never really worried. Seemed like he really didnt gel with anyone last season after playing so well off of Cooley the year before.

In theory he is the ideal winger for someone like Thomas.

Hope he keeps up this strong season and continues to compete for top scorer in the league. Hes such an underrated prospect imo.

He's been really solid as of late. Not a first liner in the NHL but I do have hope he can stick in the middle six.

He's in the Hobey discussion. Top 5 with Leonard, Augustine, and a few others I'm still finalizing.

That’s high praise coming from Boner21, the Snuggy hater.

If he plays with a legit playmaker like Thomas, hes going to score a lot of goals.

Neighbors - Thomas - Snuggs could be a really good line.

Awesome to watch, and currently playing with 2 freshmen.

I think a senior season would really do him good.

Hell, he’s ready now

I’m a big Snuggerud fan and I honestly did not expect this level of production. I think he’s at his best as more of a complementary player like he was as a freshman. He’s not dominant shift to shift, but he can connect plays, makes smart reads, and then obviously score. His shot seems to get better and better, looks like he will be an elite shooter even at the NHL level. I think he’s added an extra gear to his skating too, which combined with his hands and deception allows him to beat defenders 1 on 1 sometimes. I’ve been a little disappointed with his efficiency in transition and from what I saw he was actually better on exits as a freshman, probably because Cooley makes that easier. Very excited to see him on the Blues. I expect him to play with Thomas and I think he could be a PPG player at his peak.
