That's obvious, but other than that. Any rumors? I mean. He's not that much smaller than Michov, and zero chance of him not coming over. He doesn't have the supposed attitude Michov has either.

Can't possibly think of anything else. Everything I've read about this kid is always about how competitive, hard working and mature he is. To have the defensive game he does at his age to go with his offense speaks to his maturity as a young kid. It was a no brainer pick for the Sabres not to mention he has insane chemistry with one of their best prospects.

I agree. The Sabres loved Savoie before they even drafted him. If ZB fell to them it was going to happen as naturally as rain.

Probably had something to do with the injury - he got thrown into the boards and hurt a shoulder. He was not himself initially when he returned in the playoffs and it took a bit for him to get back on track. That's probably a background concern - will he get manhandled into injury and also with how he plays, will he break himself regularly? He is so intense, it's possible he breaks himself.

Might be better to skip the AHL altogether for him if he plays that determined way. His defense is already good, and the AHL d-men make a living off hammering guys. Hopefully the Sabres feel like he's a sooner rather than later guy, like I think the Ducks felt with Leo over Fantilli.

He's not eligible next year and I mentioned to my viewing partner that I could see him making the jump without much if any time in the AHL.

Sabres just won the draft. Benson is the smartest player in this class, true 100+ point potential, and is now going to play with a linemate he has incredible chemistry with.

Between Benson-Savoie, Thompson-Tuch, and Peterka-Cozens-Quinn, who the f*** is going to be Buffalo’s first line???
I think Perreault is smarter…but I know Benson works harder

3.fantilli
4.carlsson
5.smith
6.benson
Incredible for us, the sabres high motor and skill iq combo with a good base for skating to improve that speed and quickness will easily progress with proper coaching/training honestly didn't think he would make it past 8

He’s still my top winger in this class.
Arizona took my man (Simashev) before I could pound the table for him. I like big But and I cannot lie…but Simashev was my horse from when public mocks had him in round 2 until I watched him go at 6 IRL. He‘s going to be the absolute man in this league.

Benson was one of the few names I knew before the draft. Havent been able to follow a ton this year, but he was one I wanted the Wings to pick. He looks like he is going to be fun to watch. Happy with our picks, but wish he went to the West.
