I'd like to see what Rantanen can do if he lines up with Mackinnon or Duchene when he gets called up. On paper it looks promising.
They would make a hell of a two-way duo. A line of Rantanen - Barkov - Jagr would be so awesome even now, not to take anything away from Huberdeau though.
We'll just have to settle for a Landeskog-Mackinnon-Rantanen line.
What a pity.

Nice to see him playing very well.
I say he is the best player in the whole league.
Uh oh...... you might wanna duck and cover
Rantanen is now showing he can play Center. A 4 point night last night. Something that I thought was interesting last year prior to the draft. If he can move from wing to Center. The Avs made one heck of a pick here. A player that can be equally as good as a power winger with skill and size or a big strong 2 way center with skill and size.
Anyway you look at it. What a prospect and pick!
2nd highest point per game in the AHL as a teenager. 1st is Seth Griffith

Griffith was put back in the draft as a 19 year old when he was not picked as a 18 year old. I am pretty sure he was not a teenager when he posted 50 points in 69 games at Providence.

The posters comment is worded a bit odd. I believe he/she is saying that Rantanen is 2nd in PPG plus he's a teenager which makes that feat even crazier.
By saying "as a teenager" I just mean it to credit Rantanen. The teenager part ended with that sentence lol.
