Something I'm starting to notice about OV. He's adjusting his angle on his one-timers! All goalies are over anticipating his one-timer going just inside the post, but now he's angling his shots more to the middle of the net! Can’t find it but it had serious heat. Kotchetkov doesn’t move until it’s already past his glove. Eye test tells me between 95 and 100 mph if I had to guess.
It's expected. Caps played yesterday, Canes were rested waiting for us. Canes are probably one of the better puck possession teams in the league because of their great speed.Puck management not nearly good enough
The Caps are playing their 4th game in a 6 day span! Major mental fatigue will cause any team with careless turnovers...These careless turnovers by the Caps need to stop.

If we can somehow steal a point today, that would be a win considering the circumstances.Canes forechecking is 10 times more intense than other teams we’ve been facing. I think they’re doing well on a second of a back-to-back on the road against the best team in the East on paper.

Sometimes I think the schedule makers think the players are robots! It happens. We are in the same position as Columbus was in yesterday in Washington. They played also 4 games in 6 days, and the 2nd game of a back to back at the tail end.
It sucks, but you gotta push through somehow. We are playing very well in that position though today. It's a good sign.
6Do the caps even have a sog this period? They can't even get the puck out of their own zone.
Chucky! Now the 'Canes are in the locker room wondering how they're only down by one.
