I was on line in the supermarket late last night and I met a guy named Melvin. He was buying milk and a carton of tomatoes.
Thats great news if we signed Nikiforov, the kid showed so much potential at the prospects camp and I honestly thought he was one of the best players on the ice....I really hope this is true
In all seriousness, keep in mind that a contract with Bridgeport (which is what this sounds like) is no the same as contract with the Isles. If he has an AHL deal with the Soundtigers, he is not Islander property.

Yes, but can Melvin skate?
More important: is he fan-friendly?![]()

Thats fine...he will still be playing for our AHL team though where I would get to see a lot of him because I go to school in Fairfield so a trip to a sound tigers game is very easy for me. And if he likes the guys he plays with and he himself plays well then he would be more inclined to play for the Islanders because he would be playing with buddies of his.
Hansen made it to the NHL, and scored a goal, he just didn't stick. You guys should not make fun of Melvin. Melvin would not like that.
Anybody remember Richie Hansen? Isles draftpick from Northport. Never made it to the big league, but wound up being a pretty good minor league pro.
You know the answer, he's a one-dimensional floater who can't play defense. Sheesh.
