Thought this was the case. Atleast weren't Blues fans already shopping him around?
First name I thought of. That’s the type of trade you’re going to see. No team would give up any actual good value given the risks but a swap for another high risk/reward player with relatively high salary makes sense.Jo Drouin would gladly wear a Blues jersey
2021 “1st” could be one of the most valuable assets in the league, or it could be the the equivalent of a high-2nd.What is you idea of peanuts.
My idea of fair value is 1st 2021 and an A level prospect.
I just want to be clear so we can see who was right if a trade happens.

Humor me, what do you think a realistic trade for Tarasenko would look like?Yeah but drouin isn't a berube type player.

If you want to make bets with people, where in the 1st?
That is my thought as well. He was fairly healthy early in his career but only 34 games in the last 2 seasons is definitely a big risk to take given how much he makes. I still think he could get a late 1st round pick though. He's going to be difficult to move considering his injury history and recent play
Would a team like St. Louis really try to build around a coach like that? You’d think they’d just take the best deal they can. It’s not like they’re going to have a lot of great trade options to choose between.Yeah but drouin isn't a berube type player.
My previous ask wasHumor me, what do you think a realistic trade for Tarasenko would look like?
I think Pietro felt disrespected that the Blues played hard ball with him, a guy that was underpaid for the duration of his Blues career and their team captain. The rumored blues offer wasn’t much less money wise than what he got. But the combo of the no NMC thing and him wanting another challenge/change of scenery/whatever you call it is what a lot of us are thinking.
We don't know that. Especially if several teams show interest. We are talking about one of the prolific goal scorers in last 7 8 years. He had back to back injuries but if he returns to 30 goals 60 points that's a win. If you watched him.play every game.last year he was steadily improving. Who knows though till it happens. I mean blues got ror for nothing. So I guess we will seeWould a team like St. Louis really try to build around a coach like that? You’d think they’d just take the best deal they can. Yes he gets results and the players respect him. After hitch yeo I will take berube all day longWould a team like St. Louis really try to build around a coach like that? I don’t think he is far off.Lol are ypu serious. You think that guy is the basis of a trade for tarasenko lol. Good grief
The second shoulder surgery fixed the botched surgery
.he played 28 games at end of year and looked good towards the end and then played very well in playoffs. He then played 5 or 6 for international and was best player. So if you haven't watched him play how can you evaluate him.
It doesn't kings fans are super un willing to part with anything of valueKings are in a position to take on the whole contract if that helps.
Yes I do think he has positive value so do a lot of people.I don’t think he is far off.
Do you believe Tarasenko has positive value right now? I certainly don’t
7.5M for 2 years is valuable. It doesn't kings fans are super un willing to part with anything of value
To try not and derail this thread too much, they had contract talks pre-Faulk trade, so to me it seems like those didn’t go well, and both sides agreed to “re-visit talks later” but both already knew it was over. It sucks, I absolutely hate he’s not on this team anymore and have no hard feelings towards him, but what’s done is done.I think Pietro felt disrespected that the Blues played hard ball with him, a guy that was underpaid for the duration of his Blues career and their team captain.
The fact that they traded for Faulk and signed him to a 6.5M/yr, 45.5M contract without Faulk having played a single game for them...I know I would feel slighted and underappreciated. Like I just won you this cup and you're not willing to take care of me and my family?
I know this is a contentious point among Blues fans, some look at Pietro as a selfish player, a judas or something, but from an outsider pov, it seems to me like the relationship couldn't be repaired because of that disrespect.
Why absolutely not. That's bad.Gallagher
