Anyone notice the shot at kravtsov Quinn took in his post game last night?
What did he say?Anyone notice the shot at kravtsov Quinn took in his post game last night?
I hope he learns that being sent to the AHL isn’t a death sentence. Do well for ten games and a player can be right back up and playing a big role.same thought and absolutely yes. Imagine some of the content of player/prospect group texts.
I did. He really tore into him without ever mentioning his name.Anyone notice the shot at kravtsov Quinn took in his post game last night?

basically that .I did. He really tore into him without ever mentioning his name.
He was commenting how players sent down, should not cry and pout but work on their game like Chytil did. And how they have such an awesome staff down there. (In the how can you possibly blame them vain)
I don't know. This has potential to get really ugly. I wouldn't go out publicly antagonizing one of your top picks from two years ago out in the open in the media like that. I was one of the first to express concern about Kravtsov's response of taking his ball and going home at the first hint of adversity, but I think he's being done dirty here.I did. If Quinn really did intend this barb be directed at Kravtsov, it would lead me to believe that the organization wasn't fully on board with him leaving and might have preferred he stick it out, only to be publicly supportive after the fact to avoid any type of mess. That's speculative, but it makes sense. If everyone was on board with Kravtsov going home, why would Quinn feel the need to take a shot? Wouldn't really make sense.I don't know. I know I'm probably in the minority with this, but I think that's unprofessional of Quinn. Kravtsov got the message that he wasn't cutting it when he was still in Hartford. Don't pour gas on the fire.
Ehhhh I dunno. This is a mans game even if some of these guys are teens still. No one is handing you a HUGE payday or for that matter the Stanley Cup.I don't know. Although, it's also possible that it was an innocent comment, just commending Chytil in particular and also Lindgren who almost made the team out of camp. They have to send down other young guys in the future, and Quinn could just be publicly stating his expectations for how guys handle themselves when they receive the "demotion". Personally, I think the "shot at Kravtsov" is more likely, but who knows.
If it was really directed at Kravtsov, while I approve of the general message, hopefully this stops here. Don't want to keep poking at the bees nest. That doesn't end well.
I mean, I can see how Kravtsov’s camp might take it as a shot, but by the same token, how does Quinn praise Chytil and Lindgren without providing potential ammo for that narrative? From Carpy talking about Chytil and Lindgren-
“These guys went down there and did what they had to do,” Quinn said. “They embraced the challenge of going down. Obviously, they were disappointed when it happened, but they didn’t sulk about it. They went down there and got better, and we certainly reaped the benefits of that tonight.”

My guess remains that this was more a personal issue for an 18 year old not yet ready to be half a world away from his home with no support system in place. Barring any new news to the contrary, I look forward to Vitali and the NYR being much better prepared to deal with his next go-round in NA.
Don’t forget the age difference, though. Every year at that age makes an enormous difference.Watching that game last night, I just kept thinking about Kravstov. If he could have stuck it out, maybe he could of had a similar impact if he had stayed put. You can't really fault a 19 year kid for missing home but it seems like he could have had a chance to do something like the youngsters did last night.
