the problem is breeze does not present himself as a serious threat with that ******** on his boots.

he should honestly find a tag partner and do the billy and chuck thing, and prey on people's homophobia, that could get him over. i am not joking, that can still work

Along with the whole gimmick...
Breeze's finisher is a problem too.
Many people...
Like Rusev...
Use it as a transitional move.

To be frank...
He needs a complete overhaul.
A better finisher would be a start.

Breeze's gimmick is fine. It's up to the booking to make him someone you want to see get his ass kicked.

It's not just the gimmick itself it's the believability & nuances.

Who wouldn't want Reigns' gimmick? why couldn't he get over? Because he isn't believable in the gimmick.

Breeze has his gimmick down pat. If he's booked as a credible threat it works. If he's booked like every other mid card 50/50 ham & egger then that's all he's gonna be seen as.

But this is the same company who can ruin Brat Wyatt & Rusev so ...

I'm assuming you're talking about the Beauty Shot but I'm pretty sure before they pulled him from TV he had started to use the Unprettier.

Breeze's singles gimmick is tired and people don't respond to it or care about it.

Too many similarities between Ziggler and Breeze. Both guys are great athletes though.

Maybe pair Ziggler and Breeze and let 'em be a high flying tag team.

Yeah...
I was talking about The Beauty Shot.
I have not watched RAW in almost 2 months now...
So I did not realize he added it.

The Unprettier is a much better choice.
Thanks for the update.

I did like how the Beauty Shot could've been hit out of nowhere and they could've played up the idea that maybe he's hiding something in those frilly boots to make it seem devastating. Could've had him pull off some sort of upset win over..whoever and he pulls a metal rod or something out..who knows.

Unprettier works so well with the name too. Shame we'll never see it again :sarcasm:

That beauty shot to styles was pretty good
Styles sold it like a champion
Styles is clearly a Ziggler clone :sarcasm:

That chant was so confusing.

No matter what you think of his character or potential, I assume most people agreed the guy could go in the ring.

Who exactly does his character pander to? That's why Vince doesn't like him. When you are named Prince Pretty, you are doomed to get carried around like a Tinkerbell in Paris Hilton's purse.

He's a heel
He's supposed to be someone you hate because he thinks he's so gorgeous and above everyone else
Not sure what your comment about pandering to people is about

Why I don't get the hate. Ya he isn't going to become WHC with that gimmick but a mid card heel it works.

Putting him against Ziggler who has turned into a heat vacuum and then giving them even booking before dropping him like an old shoe is why it didn't work.

Is Breeze really this over? To me he's beyond generic. He's like a white bread cross of Billy Gunn and Dolph. I don't care for the gimmick either. It's like Adam Rose. It's fun in small NXT but doesn't make sense on the main roster.

Fandango is like a million times better than Breeze.

He was over in NXT...
But like you said...
It was one that would only work in front of a small...
Bur dedicated...
Crowd.

I also agree that Fandango is probably better than Breeze.
While it is a terrible gimmick...
He got over...
And over huge...
If ever so briefly.
For one...
Even though he debuted before I got back into wrestling...
I still heard about him...
As his theme trended worldwide...
And got the attention of mainstream culture.
Breeze never even got close to that coverage.

That said...
Anyone could have worked with good booking...
But Creative never gave him a chance.
In its eyes...
He was basically dead on arrival...
And his treatment has been very unfair.

Honestly...
Breeze's character just feels like an extension of the original Hunter Hearst Hemsley...
Who was a blueblood...
And Damien Sandow...
The self-proclaimed intellectual saviour...
And these types of characters...
Usually...
Are hard-pressed to get over...
If at all.
Perhaps there is a reason why Triple H wanted to protect Breeze...
Because his own ego wanted his old gimmick to succeed.

Now that I think about it...
The only person who got over in this vein was Ted DiBiase...
The Million Dollar Man...
And he was a straight-up heel.
I doubt this type of character can ever be a face...
Because they are just so hard to like.

I doubt that HHH wanted to protect Breeze because of his own ego. HHH tries to protect any NXT talent coming up. They're his projects and knows how good they can be. Plus. He probably knows how hard Breeze worked to get here.

That is probably true...
But Triple H was also the one who wanted to give Sandow a push.
Honestly...
I see a pattern.
