Value of: Viktor Arvidsson

He'd comfortably be LA's second best LD after Anderson if Gavrikov leaves
Id hope so considering Anderson is the only LD on the Kings right now if Gavrikov leaves.
Arvidsson is one of their only legitimate trade chips with value and they could do a lot better than this player you are offering.

If the Kings do a deal with Pittsburgh, additional pieces could be added from either side to make things work.

Durzi for example could be included as well from LA. Kings have Clarke coming in next year so Durzi probably has to be moved.

What does Durzi do for the Penguins?

Tacking on "value" coming from LAK just makes the deal more complicated and harder to execute. Especially if it's a RHD who they don't need. Letang and Petry are the top guys there and that isn't changing with Durzi. They just don't need him, unless they move Petry in another deal somewhere. But even then, he's not the right fit behind Letang.

Haven't you always wanted a poor man's Tyson Barrie?

May be at 1million cap hit.

I don't think that's entirely realistic. For a 40pt #4D? He's got his shortcomings, but he's worth than a million bucks. He's actually only @ $1.7M for the moment anyway. Not really a big stretch from $1M, and plenty solid value for what he offers.

Just a matter of having him on a team that can keep him in a sort of sheltered 2nd pairing, offensively-oriented role. Same as Barrie. Some team that has a stud "shutdown" RHD ahead of him on the depth chart, or a really solid defensively stable partner to stick him with.

His defensive shortcomings outweigh his offensive production. Nobody wants a poor man's Tyson Barrie. Because they tend to get paid based on offense despite how negative they impact a game on defensive.

Ask them.

Whenever Durzi's name is brought up as a potential trade, there's usually Penguins fans inquiring for a 2nd or 3rd.

But Durzi was just an example. The point being different assets could be included in a deal between the two teams.

It can be the case. There are plenty of those types, including Barrie himself, who have had their pitfalls noted and have had to take cheaper "prove it" type deals accordingly. He's also not currently paid an unreasonable amount. At $1.7M you can easily afford to have him as your #5D. When it's time to hammer out an extension for him, that production certainly could complicate matters a little bit. But in the meantime...that's very minimal salary outlay for a guy who can potentially give you ~20 decent minutes a night in a protected role.

That's weird. My impression is that it seems to usually be Kings fans trying to unload Durzi these days. Offering him around to anyone who'll take him for a pick.

I just really don't see where he'd do anything for the Penguins whatsoever, unless it's contingent on some other significant moves. Letang-Petry-Rutta is pretty well sorted at RHD. Doubtful Petry is able to be moved, Letang is still an important player, and Rutta is also probably a tough one to move but offers a sort of "premium 3rd pairing D".
