For game 2 webleedblue is hosting one at hudston station $40 open bar, and barstool hosting one at saloon $30 open bar for the entire game. Both great options really.

Never been to either. Looking to bring my gf into the city Saturday night, hoping to get a table. I hate standing in a crowded bar watching an entire game. Which place is bigger?

They posted pics this morning of the setup on twitter....the screen is big, but not big enough to see good from the back. I would get their early and sit closer.

Yea I was just there a few minutes ago during lunch. Screen isn't big enough for an event like this in my opinion. From the back its like watching a game on your cell phone. If you are halfway back on the grass though it should be fine.

They both will be pretty crowded, with really no tables. I would say saloon is bigger but not really anywhere to sit.Every spot is going to be packed. Especially flying puck and around msg

I'm looking at bars to watch the game in DC, as my dad is coming in next Monday, and the reviews on Yelp don't really seem to suggest Mad Rose or 51st State are all that great. Anyone have any other ideas? Thanks!

Not at the moment. I talked to the guy organizing mad rose (which is a pretty awful bar on fri/sat nights, but with a surprisingly decent draft selection) and he seemed to be putting a good amount of effort in. I live across the street so I'll give it a shot and report back.

As my first full Summer in NYC, I'm pretty pumped even though I'm not a Ranger fan. I'll be down at Bryant Park tonight after work. Although, I am dressed for it, red, white and blue from head to toe. I'll be rooting for the Rangers 100% tonight. Hope the bandwagon isn't too crowded! :yo:

Yeah both aren't that enthusistic. I've been to 51st state, which claims to be a NY bar. Last year when they were playing the CAPS, the game started and I asked about the sound being on. The bar/manager said that people put quarters into the jukebox and they would put the sound on once all their songs played.

Never the less, there was no sound until the 2nd period. Never went back since.

I would get a group and go to Carpool (more spacious) or other venues which might put the sound on.

As promised, a heads up, I am not going to go out tonight, I'm saving my absences for later games, which I'd be down to meet up.

I'm here at bryant park there are ao many people...former rangers, free stuff and activities. Come thru guys

I'm heading to Ace now to check out this Ranger viewing party. I'm going to be the one guy sporting a non-playoff beard and a plaid shirt rather than a jersey, if any of you are going. Say hi if you're around.

If it's dead I'll probably head to that huge sports bar near Union Square. Always a fun crowd there.

How good was Bryant park everyone?

Was great after the second goal, such a shame the way the game had to end.

Instagram photos the Rangers posted make it look even more epic.

Those who went to Bryant Park, what was it like?

What was it like yesterday at Bryant Park? Did they give out any promotional material, hold any events? What was it like when the Rangers scored, Kings scored and during overtime? Depsite the loss, I hope those who attended had an overall very wonderful experience.

It was like...like....like living on a rainbow! A cloud of gumdrops and candy kisses. Every color was vibrant and the stars themselves danced with life! Never have I witnessed such a scene of heaven on Earth! Then the clouds, quick as they came, seemed to depart in an angry red flash. The grounds opened, revealing nothing but a deep, dark, hole of despair. All hope and joy faded into that hole. If there were such a thing as a God then surely he was angry that day for we had outshone his kingdom. Heaven turned to hell, for the 3rd period had started and we quickly found ourselves at the mercy of the celestials! Woe to all those who follow the blueshirts!
Sincerely yours,
Esquire,
Shinchanyo

P.S. wtf and lol

It was ok, nothing special. There were photo booths and face painting. They handed out a Rangers shield and towel. Lots of people on the grass and a huge screen. They played music. Also showed Rangers highlights. A few of the alum were there, including Graves and Matteau. It was mostly fun because we got to watch the game with a bunch of fans like we were at the garden. But boy it was hard to leave and go to the bathroom or something. Also there was some obnoxious kid who couldn't have been older than 15 that thought he was the most hardcore fan and kept getting up and trying to "rally the troops" and not sitting down. He started yelling at everyone "you guys are *******!" (female genitalia) and this dude with 2 young girls yelled at him to sit the **** down and that there were young kids there. He was this close to getting punched.

I did security for the event yesterday and I have to say it was pretty awesome seeing that turn out. Fans were energetic. It was like the Garden. Access to restrooms was definitely the downside though. Actually had the privilege of watching over the alumni while they watched the game :)

Looks so epic.

Was there for a little while, but I had the game DVR'd and decided to leave early to beat traffic/actually watch the game. The atmosphere was awesome but I got there around 7ish and could barely see anything. Got some cool pics and it was a good experience overall though, glad I at least checked it out.

Only in as much as there was someone to celebrate with, but it wasn't even that loud. Still glad I got that experience.

After the second goal it got pretty crazy, I think a lot were subdued and too nervous to scream and shout, I know I was!

Got a couple free Carcillo shouts about my jersey. :yo:

To the left of the entrance, did any of you go to the little kiosk selling shirts/jerseys ? At the end of the counter did any of you notice they had a few Kings items for sale?

Probably for the 10 kings fans that were there, and got yelled at when they celebrated.
