I'm about 8-10 hours into Starfield. Pretty fun experience so far.

A few frustrating mechanics - like the weapon / item wheel. It's so unnecessarily complicated and unintuitive, at least for me.

No maps for cities at all is a frustration. Walking on foot everywhere gets old pretty fast - like two side (fetch) quests I did in New Atlantis have me running all over the place, and it's just not fun.

But those are just my personal minor annoyances.

Gunplay is fun, exploration is fun, stories are interesting, soundtrack is amazing. I can foresee 100 hours in this easily.

I picked Wanted as a trait and have been hunted down a few times. Always fun to blast some bounty hunters away, even though I am one myself lol.

I think they should have included a ton more traits. There’s really only like 4 traits to pick from, and then traits that lock you out of other traits.

Yeah, I think I went with Empath, Wanted, and ... Extrovert?

I did finally figure out that if you use your scanner, it will highlight the path towards your quest marker, which is nice.

Burn f***ing Gorman

That’s who my failed Dr William Wier reminds me of!!!!

Lol Burn Gorman. Dude must think every TV and film production he’s in is actually a theatre production in disguise because his performances are always way, way, way too big. Over-acting extraordinaire.

Contemplating adding Fallout 3 to my backlog. I played this on PC and liked it a lot when it came out. No longer have a PC so PS5 it is. Anyone play it recently? If so, does it’s gameplay hold-up?

You get around to Bioshock yet?

Gameplay holds up but it will indeed look dated

Yep! I enjoyed it with what I did complete so far. I’ll definitely finish it at some point. Splitting my gaming time now between Demon’s Souls and Ghostrunner right now since I downloaded those first. The latter is insanely difficult but there’s nothing quite like clearing a tough level out.

I figured it’d look a bit dated. Awesome to hear the gameplay still holds up though!
