I’m in wt3, around level 52 or so now, and I’m doing an event inside of a dungeon, guess who decides to pop up while I already have a cluster of mobs and two elites. For the first time in D4, the butcher decides to take this chance to say hi.
Even with all of the other monsters around I manage to take him down to 1/4 health before I die, he sharpens his cleaver and leaves.
No later than 10 minutes after he shows up again and pushes my shit in for the second time. I did take him down to maybe 1/8th of his health, so I got that going for me which is nice.
Thank god I never met The Butcher before I changed builds or I'd hate him as much as everyone else does. I seriously thought "WOW, maybe my build ain't so great and I'm about to hit another difficulty wall." before an article popped up in my feed telling me he's supposed to be extra hard. If I was still running minions I'd be a smear on the floor. Today I killed him in ten seconds. There has to be builds for other classes that can do that because I've seen most sources say Necros are garbage for late game and I'm practically unstoppable. Maybe it's just that one build type that's unstoppable and the other classes have more options.

I think my build is alright, but my gear is lacking. For some reason in wt3 I’m getting drops around level 42, having a hell of a time upgrading because of it.

So, the Bioshock Collection (all 3 games bundle) is on sale for real cheap on the PlayStation store. I’ve never played these games so I’m curious what your guys thoughts are on these on games?

First one was great but I never got around to the rest. I’m not sure if it’s dated at this point, so I’d suggest hearing from more than just myself before pulling the trigger

Are you level 42 still? AFAIK the level of your drops is never ahead of what you can currently equip. That's more a limit for switching gear to other lesser characters. You're increasing the amount of ways to access legendary and unique gear in wt3, especially through the Tree of Whispers and Helltide events. You may just be to low a level for wt3 as well. I think I was 48 when I started and it didn't take long for me to see I was going to need a complete rebuild very soon.

good games..Infinite is a difference, mostly in terms of location, from the first two...

2nd one is way different from the first just in terms of who you play

enjoyed them all when they came out

I’m 53 now, I think 51 when I wrote that. I’d say 8 out of every 10 pieces of gear I pick up in gear level 40-49.

I don’t mind if it’s somewhat dated. I recently completed the 1st 3 Uncharted games (4 too but that game was recently remastered for PS5 and it looks incredible) and the 1st 3 games look kinda dated now.

I meant more so gameplay wise. I’m not sure if the gameplay is stale at this point, I can’t remember much beyond enjoying it

Bioshock 1 and Infinite are masterpieces. Period. Bioshock 2 is diverting enough, just expect more Bioshock 1.5 without the same highs. If you want to play it for 12 hours or something, you can, but it's skippable. When waiting 3 years for each game, it was fine, but it probably dilutes the experience playing them all in succession.

Truly, the first and third games are two of my most memorable gaming experiences. The gameplay absolutely holds up. But the world design, twisty story, philosophical underpinnings, sci-fi -- it sticks with you. The final act of Infinite will knock you on your ass and have you diving into articles afterwards. Infinite also has one of the best companions ever.

Ooooh. This series sounds like my jam. Being knocked on my ass by a story is a big deal for me. I’m only going to invest in a game if it’s awesome and the story sticks with me. 1 & 3 sound worthwhile to do that. The collection is so cheap now so I’ll be getting it shortly. Gotta finish GoW Ragnarök first though!

The first one is one of those legendary game stories. The second one seemed like an afterthought because it was in the same setting but you already faced the two biggest powers in Rapture. I didn't care about whatever crap happened next. Infinite didn't make much of a mark on me either but at least they changed the setting. It probably would've worked better as a kind of anthology anyway.

I replayed BioShock 1 during quarantine and it absolutely held up. One of my all time favorite games. Need to try out the sequels.

I'm the Nick Deslauriers of MLB The Show bb.

Apparently someone unlocked the Austin Riley two days ago. Now how is that possible?

They bought cards. Only real way. I still don’t understand how you 100%’d every Team Affinity already. I have 1 more conquest to do, but even then I’ll be at around 45-50% with the easy shit done. From there it’s just team XP farming.

I grind a lot too — let’s call me more of a MacEwen — but I haven’t even hit 100% on Set 2 Affinity, not that I need to. And that took 5-6 weeks to get 90-100% in everything. What am I missing?

Bioshock 1 was pretty groundbreaking experiencing the opening water cut scene. That part will forever stick in my head.

After showdowns/conquest?

TA3 mini seasons. You can grind challenges/xp and you get vouchers every 5 wins and for making the playoffs and winning the championship. Quit out of most of the away games (you'll have to win a couple to make the playoffs) play the home games so you only have to bat twice. I did that twice and that put me at 100%. You can play the event for 1.5x xp on the all-star cards if you need to.

I got all the altars, seems like getting the +4 paragon points are the way to go. @Amorgus @Beef Invictus is there a way to go about getting them that’s smoother than bouncing around hitting quests as they pop up?
I have the alters strongholds and waypoints finished.
