Loved this shit:

I played soooo much war and ground war: war, it really was the highlight of that game and it's such a shame that COD didn't make it a permanent mode. I think I skipped BO4 and just played that mode the entire year. Great times. Warzone was fun during pandemic but it got old and I haven't touched it in close to a year. Don't think I'll pick up MWII. COD is just super repetitive anymore. FPS in general are lacking right now.

I take it you're into it so far? I haven't FIFA'd since '16, but my buddy wants to get back on the wagon.
It's fun for me because I don't know the detailed tactics of soccer so I can overlook imperfections. Games are quick. A lot of modes. It's like a polished version of NHL.

After hours of playing, I do not like how the AI presses the shit out of me and my guys are so slow.

As long as I can still rainbow over dudes and blast an outside foot half volley into the upper 90 every once in a while I'll be happy.

It's fun until the pace merchants whine enough on twitter to have it patched back to '22 standards because they can't handle the slower gameplay.

Played It Takes Two with a friend last night. Great platforming game. Story is a bit ham-fisted (and when I say a bit, it clobbers you over the head with fortune cookie wisdom) but damn the action itself very fun and engaging.

Kinda feels (and looks) like being in your own version of Toy Story or The Incredibles.

Can confirm. The story is a bit clunky but the graphics and the gameplay are incredible. They do a great job of forcing you to play differently for each "level" so it stays fresh all the way through.

It’s a blast to play!

Have you played A Way Out? I wonder how it compares.

WAW is S tier

Agreed, it’s right up there with COD4. MW2 had a lot of game breaking stuff. Still a lot of fun and great memories but it gets moved down to A tier for me. Black Ops 1 also gets moved up to A tier. Black Ops Cold War would get moved up to B tier (had great zombies and tried to get back to the 6v6 from the more classic games).

End of the day COD4 is still the GOAT. Wish Respawn would focus on making a FPS like that, but not realistic to expect with how popular BR is and Apex doing well. Looking forward to see what Treyarch does with more development time.

I need a ruling on no man’s sky. Is it any good? I remember hearing when it launched it was abysmal and the co op had no guarantee that you could actually link up with who you wanted to play with.

I’m looking for something in the vein of a co op but not multiplayer, current graphics, survival, shooter emphasized game.
A buddy of mine is in a rough patch and could use a distraction but he doesn’t like playing online against other people because he’s a dork. Bonus points if he can play with the PlayStations game sharing thing while I’m on it as well if I buy it.

Yeah, I played quite a bit at launch, and when I picked it up recently so much had changed. It's basically a different game at this point.
