OT: Video Game Thread Part VII

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Finally. NCAA was my favorite series. My friend and I used to take off of work on launch day every July in high school and college when we worked at the same restaurant. We'd request off for a "Stonecutter's Meeting" and refuse to answer questions about where we were going and what we were doing.

Finally snagged a PS5! Months of apps, twitter accounts, randomly checking GameStop left me high and dry (although I did recently find one at Gamestop but it was with a ton of extra BS I didn't need). How did I get it? I randomly was on the Playstation website thinking about getting Madden and boom! In stock. Grabbed the Horizon Forbidden West bundle.

Yeah, I think yesterday was the point we reached "if you don't have a PS5 yet, it's your own fault."

They were up on PS Direct for hours, I think.

Ah, that reminds me of Lake Tahoe. The peak of the NHL's incompetence. "Let's play a game at the time of the day where the rink has the most direct sunlight" and no one stopped to say "wait a minute..."

Yeah what is going on here? shorts and shoes and palm trees in the background? Nurse is Canadian but does she live in LA or something? Obviously I get the palm trees and the Ducks connection but really doesn't make a lot of sense unless I guess they are trying to market this very specific video game with a very specific fan base to other people by showing that hockey players like warm weather?

The game companies officially won it seems like. The amount of responses to Madden glitch videos that absolve the kind of shit because it will "get patched out" in the coming weeks is maddening (pun intended). They've officially gotten the public to accept unfinished games being released at full prices as if that should be ok.

They need to make the scoreboard go invisible if the player or puck goes in the top left corner. I haven’t played in a while but I feel like I had an issue with that. Or I’m just being defective and remembering things completely inaccurate

Or how about when playing in an arena where they have the big model of the team obstructing the view of the classic camera view when in your own zone.
