Finally finished Mario and Luigi Brothership last night. Took me 59 hours, but I did do all the side quests and did all the challenges. In hindsight I wish I didn't do the challenges. All that grinding made me sick of the game and I just wanted to be finished with it by the end. I still really enjoyed it. A solid 8/10 in my books. I'm just an idiot for doing optional stuff I didn't enjoy so I can see the virtual check box get filled.

I very much hate Dragonborrow (upper Caelid). My character is around level 117 and this place is still kicking my arse.
I think I was around level 160 when I finished the game the first time. I didn't adhere to the "you gotta be this level" bros who like to torture themselves.

Is Astro Bot worth a purchase? Didn't give it much thought before but I really would love to play a cute, Mario-ish platformer, and like many others after TGA my curiosity is piqued...

Meh Metaphor should have won. Astrobot does not do it for me but then again I think BOTW should have won over Odyssey too.
I still need to play Metaphor. I have a pretty big backlog right now, so I'll wait for a worthwhile sale. Also people love to mod Atlus games l, so the longer I wait, the more extra free content I'll be getting.

It's the best platformer ever on a console that isn't Nintendo's and is as enjoyable as just about any mainline Mario, as far as im concerned. It's one of the few games in recent years where you can tell that the devs prioritized the fun factor above all else. And if you're privy to PlayStation and it's history you'll be rewarded with a ton of fun surprises. I highly, highly recommend it.

If I liked the Astro game that came with the PS5, I would love this one right? I forgot if I asked this before, sorry if I did.

The game awards: awards from some douche who wanted to feel special and make lots of money

Completely meaningless. Unless you're the wukong weirdos that cried over losing.

There always seems to be weird shit going on with the reporting around Black Myths. It seems this most interview has been mistranslated yet again. I think this is the 3rd time now?

This just confirmed it as a purchase for me. Can't wait. Thank you :)

NHL 24 does that stupid Altitude thing where they post tweets on screen when someone does something in a game (in this case, the 77th goal of my rookie season)

Makar still doesn't pass to me.

I am pleasantly surprised at how much fun i am having with Marvel Rivals.

It feels like the wild wild west days of overwatch before they did all the unfun balance nerfs and queueing for roles and all that crap.

I picked up 40K space marine on the steam sale. Boy did I ever miss out when this game first came out, back in 2011. I'm just about done with the campaign, so I bought the second one too. I should have known better with how much I liked Boltgun and how everyone always praises these games. Now I feel like a really missed out on so awesome lore in the 40k world. Never knew it was so dark and gritty. The universe does seem gigantic. I'm not even sure where to start to get into it.

I've looked at getting into some of the lore as well.. never played any of the games, but I was looking at reading some of the books. If you figure out where to start let me know

I picked this up in the steam sale and the controls are kinda funky. Ruins it for me. But it's kinda fun
Yeah, I picked it up as well. It's okay, as you said the gameplay kinda lets it down a bit. But...a bunch of friends on discord asked me to stream it so they could see the game. What then proceeded to take place had me in stitches. A bunch of dudes half in the tank watching me play that game and commenting. It was a riot.

Such a good game. It was also my first experience with the Warhammer universe, which inevitably sent me down a wild YouTube rabbit hole. The lore is...extensive, to say the least. But yeah the game was great. Felt like the Gears of War sequel we've deserved since the original trilogy ended and not to mention those VISUALS. Man oh man. Definitely one of the best co-op experiences I've had in a long time.

Anyways...here's a really good, relatively consise lore breakdown if you're interested:
