That assumes he only faces 28 shots per game. If I remember correctly, Luongo faced an insane amount of shots during his time in Florida.

The Canes have been giving up almost exactly 28 a game, so I used that at the benchmark.

Technically it's possible that the Canes could implode to the extent of being "only" Buffalo bad on offense, while allowing 30+ shots a game, and having Ward go into god-mode while losing 2-1 games left and right. But now we're in "is it mathematically possible?" territory rather than the realm of likelihood.
