After yet another poor outing from Stuart Skinner last night, the Oilers need to be turning over every rock possible to find a young, cheap goalie who can take over the starting job.
Two that make sense are the Utah pair of Karl Vejmelka and Connor Ingram. I haven't seen anything about Vejmelka and UHC talking an extension, but he will be a UFA this summer and is probably due a big raise. Ingram has another year but I understand he's had a rough go in between his mother passing away and dealing with an injury. Utah also has Stauber who has showed well in his few starts, which is a nice problem to have but also probably complicates things long-term.
I assume Vejmelka would cost a ton if he's even available, but is a 3rd/4th enough for Ingram?
