Then there's guys who get rattled by watching pro athletes. Wow a guy hit another guy in the face, I want to cry about it on the internet.
My issue is that I don't even understand why Greig's slap shot n an empty net goal is a sign of disrespect. To me, Greig did something that looks foolish. Fans and players alike should be mocking him for the over-the-top move. The idea that the Leafs feel disrespected by the move just seems bizarre.

I was thinking the same thing. The Leafs bench should have given him the slow clap. A last place team shouldn't celebrate like that unless it's a Disney movie.

It was just the moment that all the past frustrations, the lack of never having an answer, or refusing to push back, boiled over.

Probably a couple years too late, but thank goodness it finally arrived.

Now just keep going with it

He can condition himself in the shower...we don't need him, he sucks

Tavares couldn't hit the broadside of a barn door with a beach ball, give C to MO or Auston, pretty bad when your C is on the third line....
What line was the captain of the leafs last cup team on?

He broke the code. If you don't know the code, you'll never understand.

Yeah it’s one of those things you either get or don’t. Topic has certainly been beaten to death though.
I think it came back up because Joe Bowen asked all the fans to give Rielly a standing ovation tonight.

Bowan rarely tweets out anything, and this went semi-viral and got everyone pumped

Kids playing Peewee House League know this.

You don’t show up the other team.

You either get it or you don’t, and if you are slow to it, you learn it real quick on the ice, and you never do it again.

If you are a disrespectful asshole and you want to show up another team, there are consequences.

Go Leafs Go!

Can't help but feel like we're gonna drop this one but hope I'm wrong obviously. Either way hope they keep playing hard and would like to see the crowd cheer on Rielly.

this is also why you don't overly celebrate when you score like the 10th goal

though unless you're doing a sittler and breaking a record, by all means. you might get a fist to the face but they'll forget it by next game.

Before people over react to these D pairings, they will switch things up throughout the game.

Sure, but a lot of other people completely understand why it is a sign of disrespect.

Disagree. When someone disrespects you like that in Sports you have to have a response. What was Rielly supposed to do wait until next season to fight the kid? Greig got what he deserved.
I agree with you. This is hockey not figure skating. This team has been pushed around for way too long. It’s time for vengance……..swift and harsh
