Figure they give up what, 6-8 odd-man rushes against with 2 goals against at least out of that, probably at least on SH. They also probably yield at least one goal on the PK - probably someone standing around like they lost their mommy at the grocery store, all dewy eyed and quivering lip rather than manning up to play their position. Probably 2 with how they give up cross-seam passes for one-time flanking shots honestly. Figure Luukkonen makes at least one easily savable shot into a backbreakingly bad goal against... so that's five.

So all they need are six goals with their 2C and 1LW out and the team freefalling in the standings. Fun.

Malentstyn and Lafferty are some of the worst 4th liners I've ever seen at retrieving dump ins ... these dudes suck major ass. Malenstyn will be the player I think of when thinking of this shitty era and Kevyn Adams as a whole.

In '22-23, Byram had 1:19 in TOI/Game on the PP, just a smidge more than Girard's 1:13 and way less than Toews (2:02) and of course Makar (4:01). He missed almost half the season.
In '23-24 prior to being traded, he had 0:52, just ahead of Girard's 0:48 and way off from Toews 1:19 and Makar's 4:05.

In Buffalo he's 1:12 this year so far, third to Dahlin's 3:14 and Power's 1:44.

Not only are there less minutes to go around in Buffalo than Colorado, he's getting more than he did in Colorado by percentage of total available.

It's pretty pathetic at this point ... I think history has shown that Pegula is the problem. Jack is a prick but booing him three years and a cup later just screams loser energy to me.
