I forget what podcast I heard it on but someone pointed out that he had Tortorella, Maurice, Bowness, and McLellan as coaches in all his prior stops. Obviously all great coaches but all definitely hard-asses and Carbery is the first real "player's coach" he's had. I think it's some combination of that + natural maturing + a wake-up call after how awful last year was.

Been IMO their best player for the last two months now

I'm encouraged that they're getting 1 pt rather than 0 more than not but that's not a formula for Cup success. Agree 100% they have to get back to setting the pace.
