I don't think he is. Pacioretty is comical in his floating, but he's still one of the leagues premier goal scorer.

Laine's shot arsenal is out of this world. He's already better than Pacioretty at scoring goals, and that's pretty much Pacioretty's only redeeming feature.

when/if we lose in the playoffs, it'll be because we get burnt on speed.

think about the penguins that year. do you think our D-corps could've handled them? . . . i'm not sure

Because if you read this board...every single PP, DD is on the 1st unit.

If you actually read this board, you'll see people refer to stats and say that Galchenyuk and Desharnais have been used on the powerplay far more often than Plekanec. At 22 vs 16 vs 9 PP minutes (respectively), or 17 vs 10 vs 6 for offensive zone starts (respectively) on the PP, coming into tonight, they're right.

Details, amirite.

Why would we mention something that we don't want to happen?

Oh look, this guy pee'd on the floor!
Oh Look, This guy didn't pee on the floor !

no you see...had Desharnais been on the 1st or even 2nd unit, this GDT would be doubled in pages

I'm not too sure about that.

Pacioretty is a back to back 39 and 37 goal scorer.. He's been scoring at a 30+ goals per year for SEVEN seasons.

Lack of speed is hurting them tonight. Trouble getting the puck in the d zone and they can't get it out unless it's for an icing pass.

When I read this board, especially the Desharnais thread...i'm constantly told that Desharnais gets 1st line mins and 1st unit PP

Go ahead, go take a look at that thread

let's not be silly. I think one of the huge improvements we've made is the D has been good at knowing when to back off and the bigger improvement even is knowing when to jump into the play. I thought we were quite awful at that last season. This is just an awful period though. Can't say anything else.

The boys are flat...games like this you're thankful you got Carey Price in nets

If this was last year, score would be 2-0 Canucks
