With Boeser not coming back and the Cauncks needing a shake up, I wonder if something like this can be worked out:

To the Calgary Flames:

Caucks first round pick
+
+

To the Vancouver Canucks:

Kadri
Rasmus Andersson

It helps Calgary with the rebuild and it gives the Cauncks 2 good players and hopefully Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes can take off and become good players and the Cauncks make a push for the playoffs next year.

Calgary Flames take Myers and flip him(for salary reasons, if Myers may does not want to play in Calgary.

Doesnt even make it to a phone call. Kadri wont waive period and Ras has stated he will never play for Edmonton or Vancouver.

The Flames are heading into a rebuild and Kadri may not want to be part of that, in Vancouver with Peterrson and Hughes, they have a better chance at the playoffs.

With Anderson, if Vancouver says we will give you top 4 playing minutes and an 8 year contract, I am sure he would jump on the chance.

There is a deal to be made here.

Think Vancouver is closer to needing to rebuild than Calgary who are flush with youth.

Yes, this is probably true. Boeser likely walks, Demko's poor health and Lankinen's extension might mean TD gets traded, Petey's likely viewed as expendable too and with all this there's speculation Hughes may want to join his brothers. Top D prospect Willander also doesn't want to sign over $200k difference. I think this core gets shaken up, and unless it's the Petterssons for the New Jersey Hugheses, I'd doubt we're in a place to add for win-now pieces (though that's likely our management's M.O. anyways).

Hopefully 3x Petey's for 2x Hughes can happen and then trade Willander, Demko and pick and get a 2nd line C (hopefully in a PLD-type move), because if management won't revamp then we'd need to retool on the fly well.

Why would Vancouver spend assets on a D-man? Their backend is fine and already has little space for their prospects.
it has to do with the rumours we will ship out four 1st rounder for a centerman. to be fair its a legit proposal. Kadri is a older player though.

I would like both guys as a nucks fan with Kadri being the 2c it allows Chytil to play wing adding speed and keeps him away less from the middle of the ice. Raty showed he's ready for regular duty next season and should have no problem replacing Suter.
Adding another winger in the summer shouldn't be to hard if Brock is indeed gone but I think there's a chance he's back especially if Marner isn't an option for whatever reason.

Myers has a full NTC I believe but I think he would be ok with Calgary.

I think the nucks move Joshua if they made a deal like this in order to still have cap to go after a big ticket winger.
I assume the flames would want Willander, I'd prefer moving Mancini and that's not a knock on him, he's an excellent prospect but Willander is IMHO a lock to be at worst a high-end #3 but if he adds the ability to even crack 40 points, he's a top pairing guy all day with how good the rest of his game is.

Just Kadri alone might be an easier deal to make?
Nucks adding Anderson would be a luxury add with what we already have while the forward position needs a 2C and a top line winger and Marner is exactly the type of winger EP needs, a guy that is pass first and high IQ.

15th overall a 2nd and Joshua or a decent prospect? We have several options in Abby on D

Rumor is (so take it with a heaping of salt) is that Kadri turned down the offer to waive to go back to the Avs at the deadline. Combine that with he's been adamant about not leaving Calgary so far, it may not be a thing.

However there are no certainties in life and things do change.

There is zero chance that after the season EP (the center) just had both on and off the ice that any combination of petersens gets the hughes brothers out of new jersey.

With the level of ineptitude that Vancouver has shown recently they best be prepared to trade Quinn to the devils sometime in the next year or two because he's just going to sign there in two years when he hits free agency and at least if they willingly move him they will get some level of return in their investment.

More likely the Flames go after Petersson than this trade happening.

Wtf is this thread? Who can watch hockey and think yep, Flames are about to tank haha.

Unless Vancouver is offering EP, not interested.

Because Calgary is such a great outfit. Thanks for the laugh.
Calgary's great right now. Vibes are good, players want to be there. Great culture. It wasn't that a few years ago but things are fine right now.

Vancouver on the other hand, JT wanted out, Brock's gone, Hughes wants to go to Jersey, coach left despite having another year of term, Pettersson is crying, Willander won't sign. Cultures cooked there. Yikes

The Flames are already in their rebuild and they’re essentially in the same spot as the Canucks. Why would Andersson want to make a lateral move - unless he’s getting a lot more money?

That said, I expect the Flames to try and trade Anderson. They’d likely prefer a solid stay-at-home Dman to pair with Parekh and that’s not Andersson.

Uhh...the Flames aren't rebuilding the way you think they are. The Flames are likely 1-2 season from adding big pieces. Kadri likely stays for the upswing.

Andersson likely either stays in Calgary or goes to a contender.
