Proposal: VAN - TOR

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates
Mitch Marner averages 91 points per 82 games, while Elias Pettersson averages 82 points per 82 games. The extra positional value of Pettersson helps balance their overall worth. I think it's almost fair value wise but EP is signed longer though and he's a couple years younger. EP is probably a bit more valuable but it's close.

Marner also played on teams that had Alex Kerfoot, which probably inflated his numbers a bit, don’t ya think?

Though I will say overall good points here, they are close in value excluding contract situations.

100 point defensively sound centre for a 100 point defensively sound winger.
Marner is a great player but teams would prefer the centre.

Pass, Leafs have no need to do the Canucks any favours.

Well he traded Matt tkachuk for him then gave him 84 million, I think he's got a little crush on him or something
You may want to read more and post less, you don't seem to have much of a grasp on what goes on.

What do u mean huberdeau wants to go to a contender and treliving already paid for him before. Petey isn't available anyway. Marner for huberdeau makes sense to me

You just proved the point of the person who said you didn't know much of what's going on. I guess ignorance is bliss.

Marner is a great player but teams would prefer the centre.

Marner's 82 game pace has been for 100 or more points in each of the last 4 years and 90+ points for 6 straight years.

Petersson has paced for over 90 points once (his 102pt season).

Teams may prefer the centre, but saying they're the same offensively is a bit disingenuous.

Either way, they're both franchise players and not being traded for one another.
