I just dont see it with guys like Bains and aman at the nhl level, giving ice time to someone I see developing is fine if there banging down the door, but whenever I see Bains at the nhl level or aman, I see an Ahl player. I liked sprong, thought he brought speed and a goal scoring aspect this team lacks. I liked the 4th line, but clearly Tocchet cant get passed some of his hang ups.

I won’t lump the two together. Bains has been making bigger strides than Aman.

I think Aman is on his last or second last chance. Bains I like to see the team develop him in a bottom 6 role rather than try and play him in a top 6 role that he is clearly not ready for at the NHL level. Regardless he hasn’t had a chance to figure things out at the NHL level unlike Aman (not that every player deserves to or will be given a chance)

I just dont see it with Bains, I get some fans are really behind him being a local guy, but when I watch him I just honestly dont see what a few people see as far as being a regular at the nhl level at 23. He can skate, and provide energy, but I just dont see much else as far as finish, or stringing together consistent games. Guess we will see how this plays out and what he becomes this year at the nhl level. He has certainly been given opportunities.

Honestly, it’s pretty irrelevant, lekk it is going to be taking that role permanently soon enough

I don't see a lot of daylight between Bains and pdg. A very coachable player that plays in straight lines but nothing dynamic about him

Sprong was dynamic and skilled but with a lot of warts. The payoff could have been high with some patience but tocchet probably didn't think he was coachable enough for his taste

There has to be a reason why he's now on his seventh organization in seven seasons. Seems to last just one year, and then teams walk away. The Canucks pulled the pin in under 10-games.

Conventional wisdom is that it's his defense is the reason he wears out his welcome. But surely something else is going on here.
